I live just outside Glasgow and since everything has opened back up getting a taxi on a Saturday night is impossible. Can anyone advise if it is the same in Glasgow? I don’t want be be stranded at 2am when it’s kicking out time at CJs

"Cant you pre book? "

Most taxi companies won’t let you pre book if it’s a pick up from a pub/club. House to airport or work to house is fine for pre booking

Caroline has a private taxi driver who comes along as well as the ones you can book yourself if you let her know what time you plan on leaving she can say to Nino and he will be waiting

Thanks for the info maybe it is just a local problem and taxis are running as normal in other places

There is sometimes a little longer to wait (Hellish on the cold nights) but I've never had an issue getting a taxi back from CJs.

The club desk once even booked an Uber for us (friends in the same hotel) as we were leaving and it got there quicker than an average taxi.

Somewhere over there

As the venue has a door number, can be given as an address and we’ve been picked up fine from there. But Cj can also book one for you.

If you are worried about getting picked up from the door by a taxi driver knowing your business, a walk 5 mins in either direction takes you to flats where you can order a taxi from and stand outside the close door

Caroline won’t see anyone stuck and will phone a taxi for you.

We can definitely vouch for that. She and her staff took very good care of us on our first visit and as mentioned in an above comment, Nino is great. Such a nice polite guy and hilarious, too.

Just to be clear I have been to CJs a good few times and never struggled to get a taxi. However in the current climate I know where I live is really hard to get a taxi on a Saturday night and I was just asking if people knew if it was the same when CJ’s closes. Thanks for everyone’s input

It has been pretty difficult for some people to get a taxi. I've had to give folk a lift before, but I wouldn't take a single male. Might be worth coupling up with another single male?xx

I’ve given people lifts a few times. Yes getting a taxi can be difficult. Not all taxi drivers have returned to driving taxis so yes it’s till an issue in many areas.
