Is distance a instant turn off

It just depends , for us there would need to be a bit of ground work and interaction done beforehand. We wouldn't want to plan to travel a long distance with the possibility that the other person/ persons could pull out last minute which is a worry for long distance meets. |

It is for us. We always meet socially and it won't go any further if there is no attraction or connection which can't be determined until we meet in person. So think it would be a waste of time travelling long distances for no play |

It is for me. Between work & family commitments my free time is limited. I wouldn't really want to be travelling long distances or I'd spend more time driving than I would on the actual meet. |

It’s variable from person to person so you were never going to get a solid consensus.
We are more than content to travel for just a social upto a hour away.
As couple posts touch on, big fear is that extra effort for a no show or last second cancel.
But that’s worry local or slightly away from home, we just try make most of those moments so not complete waste |

Great have a range feedback from you all here. Personally I don't mind travelling I'm in the borders nowadays so tend have to travel , was travelling west lothian etc for meets before but do agree the fear of a no show is somewhat off-putting. |

"Don’t play in your own postcode but hour driving tops is my rule of thumb
I wonder if you can give me directions to the Mecca Bingo Hall, apparently its next to the " Retraining Centre" "
Is bingo 1000 now or something it’s rebranded lol next to the Tesco and cinema lol |

There aren't many local who both fit my criteria and me theirs, so yes, I'd travel and make a day of it, but it would be after a period of getting to know one-another quite well online as opposed to a trek for a coffee with a stranger. |

I see travelling as my only option on here really which obviously makes it even harder to get meets or even conversations with people as distance is definitely a big thing people look at.
Maybe I'll need to canvas the Highlands with fab promotion and get the membership numbers up
