Meeting a friend tomorrow and looking for a quiet spot to park up for a chat near the Fort Shopping Mall. No shenanigans taking place but for her sake need to be discreet. I dont know the area too well but all suggestions welcome. Thanks in advance |

"Not sure but if I were meeting a stranger I would rather be in a public place for safety reasons."
Very good personal friend going through a tough time personally - non fabber - strictly pals but she's looking for somewhere where we can chat - wont meet in coffee shop or the like unfortunately |

"Just meeting there then going for a drive....park up "
Call me cynical but secret meeting, going for a drive and parking up.
If its just a chat what's wrong with a phone call. ?

Hi Cynical nothing wrong with a phone call but some things are best discussed face to face...

Kinda go with this... it's a huge carpark and area. You might feel as though folk are watching but really most don't care, just arrange to meet and take it from there, face to face as you say |

There’s loads of discreet places you can go after a little bit of a drive. Pub in Eaglesham, Auldhouse. Cafe at the museum of rural life/whitlee windfarm |

" things like this in my eyes need to pass the common sense test this doesn't even come close... Close personal friend..... Need to be ultra discrete..... Meeting at the Fort..... Driving off somewhere quiet.
It makes little to no sense to my eyes everything your saying points to a secret tryst not two friends discussing life's woes |

Agreed, we could also add , the OP also said that for her sake she had to be discreet, which implies she is in danger if caught . So OP your actually putting her in danger by meeting her as opposed a telephone chat and also by posting on a public forum you are doing it. Nothing about this post says discretion or just 2 friends meeting for a chat.
Sry OP but not buying any of it.

Maybe just maybe this lady is going through a shite time at home, wants to talk to a friend, but due to a jealous partner doesnt want to be seen as conclusions may be jumped to.
Much like they have been on this thread by the usual suspects, forcing opinions again.
Nobody knows for sure do they. How about the OP gets cut some slack instead of the gestapo treatment FFS. |

Costa coffee at the range - back along towards Portobello.
Into the car park. Over the footbridge railway line, small community orchard with a few benches. |

And how about people are allowed to post their opinions without comments like this !!
Ohh wait it's OK for you to have and type your opinion about people on a public forum but not others. You gotta love the irony of your post. |

If you're going to quote a post, then quote the whole post, including the part that made the post relevant, not just the parts that you think relevant to allow you to continue
No irony here. You are free to continue posting, no ones trying to make you stop. |

The area of your post that I never quoted above were all very valid points I agree but you did not need to add the other parts ie to quote," the usual suspects forcing their opinions " that was you making it personal,
your personal opinion of people who post in the forums . Just as me and kola did with the OP. Now do you understand the irony.
Ps while I appreciate your permission to continue posting my opinions, I really don't require it. Tyvm anyway. |

I told you you were free to post and no ones trying to make you stop.
That's not giving permission, merely a statement of facts. Its definitely not me specifically giving permission nor thinking I am in a position to grant this. Which renders your last paragraph irrelevant.
But hey ho if it makes you feel important, please continue.

I mearly highlighted what I see as inconsistencies in the story. by the same token are you not forcing your opinion?
I won't even go into your reasoning and how imo its flawed but that's my opinion which could also be wrong like life you gotta take the rough with the smooth |

Why not park as close as you can to the Auchinlea Park. Take a walk around the provenhall grounds am sure it will be quiet
If my memory is right it's just round from the Fort/ easterhouse doctors but then again it's been years since I have been anywhere near that area, and it changes all the time |
