Hi guys,

I'm currently in midst of finding a new council house near bothwell....is there any rough areas i should avoid?

Hamilton/blantyre/botheell/uddingston kinda areas

I don't know those areas but would say there are "rough" bits everywhere but the view can be very subjective.

I'm house hunting at the moment and it's no fun.

Like above there are bad areas but some decent streets in those areas , Bothwell as far as I know is pretty decent uddingston is hit and miss

We have been looking for a new house and it has been a nightmare.

We try to make appointments but the house is already under offer, people are putting in stupid bids way over the value without seeing it.

On 3 occasions we have been driving to see a house and cancelled before we got there (one after 3 hours driving).

It is madness

The house market has went crazy since covid started and now we have hedge funds/ big businesses investing in property.

Making it more difficult for the rest of us
