"I cycled 75 km the other day, Edinburgh to Carnwath and back. Nearly killed me but its a good start. Anyone nearish by want to join me in a quest to get fit?"
What made you pick there? And did you just follow the A road? I did from kirkaldy to esinburgh a wee while back, some not so pleasant stretches of road there... |

"I love hillwalking but, unfortunately, Mrs BC doesn't. Having said that, she has done some with me.
Next planned walk is Ben Nevis via the CMD arete in a couple of weeks time. "
This terrifies me, although it is more interesting than taking the tourist route. Have you hired a guide to help you up or are you a proficient climber?

You would have to be a proficient climber to do this route. Good luck. Fingers crossed you get good weather |

Have done Snowdon via Crib Goch before which is possibly more severe. |

It's more of a scramble than a climb so I'm not too worried. The weather will make a difference. If it's really bad we'll change our plans. |

I love walking - often found on Fife coastal path.
Enjoy hills too but only done small ones in Fife. Sadly don't drive so can't really explore further afield.
Would love to hook up with others if possible |

It's a good quiet road the Lang Wang, but it was 5 miles (47 total) more than I was told, or strava is more accurate then a car. |

"Has a hill walking fab meet ever been arranged on here? Would be good way to meet people instead of in a pub environment.
Yip we used to do this regularly.
Not so much now. "
Oh sounds promising thanks. Hopefully someone will take the lead soon and arrange something seeing as we're hopefully getting our freedom back soon |

Fit athletic type desperately trying to get out of this fat n old body. Trying to get back into cycling. Would be interested in some encouragement from others, and tagging along trying to keep up. |

Same here, Crib Goch was a bastard even though the welsh guest house owner told me on the morning over breakfast....say in a strong welsh accent “ it’s fucking easy” |
