Online quiz tonight for Fabbers (Fri 04-06-21)

Hey folks,
It's that time of the week again.
For those of you who have done these quizzes before, it's the same format as usual.
For those of you who haven't done one of these quizzes before, here are all the details:
To do the quiz all you need is a laptop, tablet or smart phone.
The quiz is fully interactive and is just a case of point and click.
I will post on this thread again between 8pm and 8.30pm when I have made the quiz live.
Once I do this then all you have to do is go to the quiz link / web address.
If you are a regular then you should already know the link / web address by now.
If you are new to this then you can message me privately and I shall give the link there.
I cannot post the link here on the thread as forum rules only permits links to specific websites.
Once you are on the website then all you have to do is enter your quiz name and choose an avatar, then please wait patiently to give others a chance to get logged in and settled before starting the quiz.
Once the quiz starts you will see each question come up on your screen in turn.
For each question you will see four possible answers.
All you have to do is choose one of the answers and then click submit.
You have 15 seconds to answer each question.
Wrong answers do not score any points.
Each correct answer is worth a maximum of 100 points and a minimum of 50 points (depending on how quickly you answered).
The faster you answer correctly then the more points you will get for that question.
Beware though! Sometimes it is better to take a few extra seconds to consider an answer; as a lower score for a question is still better than zero points for a hasty wrong answer.
There will be ten rounds of questions with a fifteen minute interval at the halfway point of the quiz (after round five).
The round topics are:
Art & Literature
General Knowledge
Geography
History
Music
Politics
Science
Sports
TV & Films
Bonus Round
There will be a leaderboard shown at the end of each round to show everybody's total scores and then a final leaderboard shown at the end of the quiz to show the final scores and overall winner.
If any of you have any questions or need any more info then please feel free to message me or post here.
I will also keep an eye on this thread during the quiz in case any of you have any issues or queries.
If doing the quiz then I would advise rebooting whichever device you intend to use just before the quiz starts, and also closing any unnecessary apps running in the background.
I would also recommend disconnecting any devices from your WiFi which you shall not use during the quiz to maximise the bandwidth for the device you shall be using.
In the case of bad or poor internet connection then there is nothing that can be done unfortunately as that is all down to your own internet provider.
Hopefully the hosting website and my own internet connection shall not play up.

Hey Folks,
To take part in tonight's quiz please go to the usual link / web address.
If you don't already know it then please private message me for it.
Once you go to the link enter in your quiz name and choose an avatar.
You will see question 1 of...... (whatever amount of questions)
Please then wait patiently to give other players a chance
to get settled and logged in.
We will start at 8.45pm to give people a chance to get sorted.....
I sometimes run a Zoom but am unable to do so this evening.
However, I will refresh this thread page during the quiz every so often to check if any of you have any issues or queries.

You're making out this is some big thing we all know about personally Iver never seem anything about a quiz and wouldn't be clicking any link that a random guy on fab posts especially one that makes out he's the quizmaster of some kind of popular quiz when he hasn't had a veri in three years but that's just my opinion pml |

That's fair enough. I've been running this quiz through the Ireland forum for about 16 weeks and decided to extend it to other forums the last few weeks. |

I have no need of verifications at present. My couple profile I am part of is well verified.
There are quiz regulars from the Ireland forum.

That's fair enough. I've been running this quiz through the Ireland forum for about 16 weeks and decided to extend it to other forums the last few weeks."
I would be more inclined to belive that if I didn't just look back at 5 weeks worth of posts in the Irish forum and the only one I can see is tonight's can't see last week's or the week before or the week before that now I can't see me missing all 5 which would suggest they never existed pml but again just my observed opinion lol |

If you click on the green arrow next to the ops name ul see quiz posts as far back as 10 weeks ago   |

not saying they do but I know how much info I can get on you if u give you a link to click thats set up the way I want it to be and considering the reputation of single m on this site one that hasn't been verified in three years is a red flag on its own but hey you click any links random people post if you want just make sure ya lock the doors after cause incase you didn't realise fab is full of creepy weirdos pml |

Your observed opinion?
The reason why you couldn't see posts from the past number of weeks or longer is because they were all completely erased last week by admin.
The reason for that is because I had been posting the link to the quiz every week and then suddenly it was told that links are not allowed unless they adhere to forum rules.
Certain sites and links are allowed which is understandable and fair.
I wasn't totally aware of that so those posts were all erased.
I'll still be here next week carrying on the quizzes.
What will you be doing?
These quizzes started off as a way for people to socialise during a lockdown period when they couldn't go out anywhere. From that it has developed into something where contributions are being made to charities.
There have been donations made to help homeless people, saved animals from being abused, saved kids from being abused, helped people with brain injuries, granted wishes to sick children, helped people work mental illness and depression and so on and so on.
So tell me, what are you doing with your Friday nights other than chastising and judging people? |
