Just wondering if we are a pair of weirdos, we have no ambition to ever attend T in the park, whole idea of people getting pissed, jumping about in the mud and camping just is not for us at all. Are we alone in this?x |

"I would like to go if there was a band I really wanted to see and I wasn't going to be up to my knees in mud.
My son said that he wasn't going as the tickets were £240!!"
I took my son and his pals up yesterday £200+ fo aticket £25 for a showr pass and the food and drink inside is extortionate and on top of that you have to suffer Cher Loyd.
If I was their ages I would have been there though. |

Doesnt appeal to us either. We like concerts…. (going to see Madonna in Murrayfield in two weeks) but the thought of all that mud, so many people pished and stoned out of their faces isnt for us.
Ive worked up at T and was at Gods Kitchen too last year…. the sights you see even outside are let alone inside
No thanks.
While was working at T, we could hear the music from the main stage so wasnt that bad
Gods kitchen we managed to blag into for a few hours, that was quite good though.

Got to say NOT for us either!
We like camping, we like music, we don't mind getting dirty with other people (NOT in the muddy way though) .....BUT not all at the same time, and certainly not in the middle of muddy field without the luxury of clean toilets and shower facilities.
Nope! happy to watch on the TV, and even at that some of the acts are not great live! |

Not for us either. Don't really like big outdoor gigs. Barrowlands is probably the biggest venue we'd attend a gig at these days. The atmosphere, acoustics etc in smaller gigs is just waaaaaay better. |

Never again!!
Friends last year said 'you have to just once'
I'm a teetotaler and ended up covered in spilt grog, piss splash-back and up-chuck.
Good thing they'd already paid for me and even offered to replace my ruined shoes or Id'v been demanding them to pay me back for wasted dosh. |

Must be getting old as I have no interest in been wet and cold,
Not the kind of outdoor fun I'd be looking for, |

Relocate it? We live in Scotland for goodness sake, there is no guarantee it won't rain wherever you put it.
I'm with the weirdos on this though, wouldn't open my curtains if it was happening in my back garden. Lots of "acts" that can't actually sing without the aid of masses of studio technology making a real horrible noise, but it's ok as most of the audience are out of their heads anyway so won't notice.
I can think of better ways to spend £200 |

I was at TITP a couple of times in its early days and loved it. But at the time I lived nearby, so had no need to camp, and got free tickets and free parking.
I look at the number of bands that I would actually otherwise be willing to pay for and divide it by the ticket price and usually decide it is not worth it as I would rather see the bands I want to see on their own.
Oh, and I hate being caught in the rain, and the mud, and the fact that you end up walking over other people's discarded rubbish...
However, Glastonbury, that would be an experience and one I would like to experience at least once...
On a smaller scale, The Big Tent in Fife is fun... |
