Just bought some new toys for She Who Must Be Obeyed (technically they are for us to play with but I don't have the correct plumbing for 2 of the 3 toys) and when I opened the pack on one of them it has a horrible sharp plasticy smell to it.
Does anyone know how to get rid of the smell or deos it just fade with time?
Thanks

Soak them overnight in mix of baby oil, scented lube and essential oils. Should be nicely scented. For a while.
However...
You should throw them away. They are made from a bad material which degrades over time and can acutally poison you. They will always have a faint plastic smell to them. High quality silicone toys work best, last longer, are odourless and are safe, but you may have to fork out for them. |

"If they can poison you surely they wouldnt be getting sold by mainstream companies." i wouldn't count on it. Remember a few years ago that a high street furniture retailer which went bust was selling leather sofas that gave off toxic fumes.

"maybe people find it easier to complain about a sofa to Trading Standards than a sex toy"
If they were poisonus and causing medical problems Im sure something would have been done. Any sex toy regardless of what it is made of can cause problems if not cleaned properley. |
