A turn-up for the books, really?
Who exactly is the Prime Minister? Try First Lord of The Treasury, not a Parliamentary Office like say Speaker of The House, but Minster of The Crown. Now who holds The Office of The Crown and therefore appoints and removes all Ministers of The Crown? That would be the person who invites an MP (or other person) to form a government and accepts their resignation when they loose the confidence of Parliament or Parliament is being prorogued for the purposes of a general election.
By the way when Parliament is opened every year our Monarch makes a speech where she tells the country what the order of business is for HER government, and the PM has to go to the Palace every week that Parliament is in session to report to their boss. Yet another clue who appoints and dismisses Ministers of The Crown.

Perhaps people should study more deeply the history of William III and the impact of the Glorious Revolution.....and that does not mean have a quick look at Wikipedia.

Scottish independence requires repeal of the 1707 Act of Union, which is the foundation of the current nation state with a single crown.
Its repeal creates a return to the 1604 Union of the Crowns, whereby one person (James VI) wore the crowns of two neighbouring kingdoms . |

And to achieve Royal Ascent who would have to sign this new Act into law? Can you see where I'm going with this? Can you see why it's never going to happen? And let's not forget this would all have to happen in Westminster, not Scotland. |

You're completely deluded if you think Parliament (in westminster) would allow Scottish independence, you're equally deluded if you think the Queen would sign it into law (she has every right to refuse). I can't believe this has to be explained to an adult, Scotland had their chance hundreds of years ago, it's a failed state, militarily, economically and politically. You and Nicola Sturgeon can dress it up however you like, but if you genuinely believe it you're an idiot. |
