"Because he is all spin and no substance, basically. Did you see the interview with the BBC when he was asked what he would do on day one to deliver Brexit? The plan, he said, is to have a plan. Reminded me of Brexit means Brexit." An incredibly naive starting position in a negotiation, if there is to be one.. His ducking of the questions was telling as to how developed his 'plan' is..

" How many times does the EU need to repeat its position - the only thing open to change is the political declaration - before people realise the next PM is trapped in the same mess as the last one?

"The cult of personality is the only game in town .Hes just Another Trump . It's the age we live in .The post-truth age. His promises will no doubt give comfort to the fools. " Yes, it is personality over politics.

I wonder that too and it wont help, as we know brexit wont happen in that way they want it, so they want a joker like boris to make such a serious thing fun.

"Because he is all spin and no substance, basically. Did you see the interview with the BBC when he was asked what he would do on day one to deliver Brexit? The plan, he said, is to have a plan. Reminded me of Brexit means Brexit." Sounds like your average politition lol
"The bbc interview was bad... the LBC one he did this morning was car crash! Woefully inept and underprepared! You can see why they are limiting questions and appearances "
"Because if he starts answering questions his clown mask would slip and the thoroughly obnoxious thing that lurks underneath would be exposed." nail on head.
"LBC radio as still banging on about his personal life over and over again that’s all they seem to be interested in " Yes but look at it from their perspective, he has no plan other than my force of character will sort it.. He and his team are pushing his character and its inevitable that his past deeds which are down to that will not go away.. His answers on brexit are ill prepared, plain wrong on some of the relevant sticking points or wishy washy and along the lines of trust me as I can trot out Churchillian clichés and sound bites..

"Which questions has he not answered?" Having heard a clip on Lbc... Did he know the candid pub picture was being printed? And when was it taken?
"Which questions has he not answered? Having heard a clip on Lbc... Did he know the candid pub picture was being printed? And when was it taken? " And why does he have to answer that?
| |||
"Because the answer will leave his hypocrisy on display for all to see." That’s not an answer - it’s a presumptive opinion You are quite good at that
"Having heard a clip on Lbc... Did he know the candid pub picture was being printed? And when was it taken? And why does he have to answer that?" Because it is a new picture to emerge and is now being used to prove that all is sunlight and roses in the BoJo household. So when was it taken? Is it staged? And how did it get into the public eye? Most likely the reason BoJo is refusing to answer questions is because it is an old picture that was staged/framed at the time of taking and either BoJo or someone very close to him has fed it to a sympathetic news outlet in order to deflect from yet another one of the personal shit-storms that envelop BoJo at regular intervals.

"Intimate pictures of his private life released on the day he insists his private life should be kept private? Yeah. Sure. 10/10 for gullibility" Still not answered the question

"Have you also noticed it? He always talks about something else when they they try to ask a serious question." Because he's am MP and none of them do, what ever party they belong to.
"It would worry me if a PM has so little integrity they would plant old photos in the media. While im not a fan of staged moments, that this is an old photo stinks of manipulation. If he can't be trusted here, why should he be trusted with anything else? " He's not the PM! It sounds nearly as bad as running through a hay field like the present PM!
| |||
"Have you also noticed it? He always talks about something else when they they try to ask a serious question." Because generally he is asked questions that based on his previous statements that now he has to face head on will make him look like a complete and utter lying twat. So if he skirts round the question without answering then he does not and cannot drop himself in the shit. It still means he's a complete and utter lying twat but If he brings Brexit then many people don't give a shit.

" That was May trying to shore up her weakness and show personality. If Boris managing his persona is nearly as bad... And hes majoring on his character.... Eek
"Have you also noticed it? He always talks about something else when they they try to ask a serious question." That's politicians for you.

"Have you also noticed it? He always talks about something else when they they try to ask a serious question." At this stage the key issue is that he becomes leader of the Conservative party. Some questions may be trick questions so it is wise not to answer them. If anyone has a real interest in a particular issue I am sure that if they wish to become a fully paid up member of the Conservative party , someone will answer them for him. The job of Boris is to catch votes , not answer questions on tv shows . When he is elected leader, he will have a very capable team beneath him to answer questions or research them on his behalf.

" I'm guessing by trick question you mean a hard one? For me it's intriguing that people will vote for someone who won't answer questions (trick or otherwise) and this is seen as a better way of catching votes. It's interesting you think his team will help when PM. Why aren't they helping now do the research? Like gatt 24. Which is discounted on the HoCs own website. And I'm presuming this team is more than his fellow MP's and civil service. As they are already there and apparently failing. Otherwise what is changing with Boris? We're going to get a PM who can't get a better deal, won't do interviews or debates, and won't be able to take the Hoc with them. Deja vu? Better hair tho. And he uses Latin.
"Have you also noticed it? He always talks about something else when they they try to ask a serious question." Trumpian school of Politics. If you don't know the answer then talk about something you are familiar with. Hunt is doing something similar by pushing his entrepreneur background in an attempt to represent himself more a peoples man than a politician.

" As detached from reality as normal Pat, well done
"Some questions may be trick questions so it is wise not to answer them. " He's had no "trick questions" asked of him Pat, anyone with any resemblance of common sense knows he's only been asked very straight forward questions. I agree his private life is just that and doesn't need to be delved into but his refusal to engage in questions where he's previously lied about something and then refuses to engage to clear it up is quite shameful.
"Have you also noticed it? He always talks about something else when they they try to ask a serious question." Because he is a politician, it beats me that you haven't noticed that they all do it thats what they do.

"The reason that he won't give comprehensive answers is that he doesn't need to. He will win unless he gets really caught out. While he can remain vague, people spend more time asking about the easy basics and he can deflect the rest. As far as most Tory members are concerned, he can fall in a cow pat and still smell of Cologne." And he will carry on like gbsi while people believe he will truly deliver Brexit in October. We're playing a game of buckeroo (buckeu?) where we are slowly removing something which will soften a no deal Brexit. At some point the masses will twig there is next to no crash mat, and will panic. The question is will this be pre Boris becoming PM or after...
"Have you also noticed it? He always talks about something else when they they try to ask a serious question." That’s because use he’s a politician. They all play the same game

"I'll lay a bet we'll all wake up on November 1 as citizens of the EU. " It was on the Daily Politics today that the replacements to Tusk and Junker wont be in place by November or likely later so.... they aren't going to be negotiating with anybody .

That is what his team based his campaign on , the less scrutiny by press , public , other candidates the better .., in fact the best thing to do is to avoid everyone and stay at home , what could possibly go wrong there ???!!!
