depends where in soluhull, i dont drive so if its not close to train station it maybe hard for me to get, also depends on what time last train back is, but i shall try and make it if its viable |

ok this doesn't look like it's going to happen, people have suggested going to a pub or club. If anyone is in the know on pubs etc in the Birmingham area that has easy access to trains or buses for people that want to drink or don't drive and then we can set something up |

Any bus from city center passes the location, 103, 33, 23,22,21 lolll I use to live in birm so know this stuff... or just take a cab at most it will cost you a fiver or if you decide to walk from birmingham new street station via the mall... it will take around 10-15 minutes even shorter if you're a decent pace walker.. i walk like a snail lolll so it is longer for me. Most pubs are preety crowded on weekends... so I am assuming broadstreet will be best to be visited during weekdays, as the place might not be too crowded... just a suggestion.

Think most people would prefer a Friday or Saturday though ? Not keen on playing on a school day so to speak.
Always room in most of the bars on Broad St on weekend, and then can go to a club after for more fun ?!

just as a suggestion, if who evr is ssortin it opens up a couple of face pics to the public n arranges to be there earlish then others will be able to recognize them, then as others get there will see a crowd sat together n can go over n say hi im .........mandie for instnce my name n am i with the right group , u dont have to mention swingers till u kno u with the right crowd otherwise cusd be either rather funny or rather embarrasing.
if u get it sorted can sumone mail me n wven tho we r "up north" in wigan will try our best to get there for a few hours xxxxxxxxxxxxxx hope all goes well. |

Yeah cool, put me down, who ever is now managing this social.
The OP seems to have done one, so who ever is the savior, I just need to know date/ time.
If anyone needs a lift from wolves/ dudley area, happy to oblige. Always better sharing the nerves as you walk into one of these socials. |

This is a real shame - so much interest but nobody free to arrange the night.
Wish I had the time myself right now to help.
If its a bar / club in Birmingham then need to be wary of numbers.
No such problem if its at Xtasia though ?

If its not going to be at a swinging club eg Xtasia , Chams , then I think it does need to be at a bar / niteclub where people can at least have a bit of 'gentle' fun.
I cant see the point of standing around a pub making polite conversation all night !
Though I do appreciate the chance to meet and get to know some peeps off here too. |

In the time it has taken everyone to talk about this social there is one happening in Coventry (which I assume is not regarded as 'Midlands'). There are over 230 people on the list with 170 confirmed, and 50 hotel rooms booked. 99 percent of people who have posted on this thread have not been to any of them in past 5 years.
I also assume 99 percent of the people who have posted on this thread have never met or even chatted to each other, yet you are all going to sit in a corner of a pub complete strangers hitting it off like best of mates ... yeah right !!!
Midlands, Birmingham is a vast area and no matter where the event is majority will have to travel considerable distance. There is no such thing as a 'Local Social', it is only local to the organiser, everyone else will be travelling.
To organise a social you , Fix a date, Book a venue, Post a thread telling everyone what it is and how much its going to cost them. People can then make their minds up if they want to attend and not run around like a bunch of headless chickens. |

i used to arrange meets and socials on another site (now closed down) i did it for over 8 years and with this situation i havent had time to pop to a few places in Birmingham as i have a life and a career

To be fair Try, you've organised the Coventry social for years and you do it mainly through Swinging Heaven.
You only bought FAB into it a couple of years ago and you know you'll get loads going, regardless of whether or not FAB members go.
And YOU know, it's not as easy as booking a venue, shoving a date up and sitting back!  |

If this is just a SOCIAL meet to get together and meet other folks etc i happen to run a pub but not in Brum its in brownhills near to walsall.
