Who's up for a PARTY!?

Jo (Game4it2) and I are going to organise a thoroughly fantastic party over the summer months (July and August) for people to come and meet each other for the first time or reacquaint themselves with others!

We are initially looking for input from people about when in the two months is best, what dates and the location. We are looking at either Cupids in Manchester or Chameleons in Darleston as both are a good size for a party.

So who's up for it and where and when do you want it!? Once we get a good idea of numbers and which location is the most popular we'll have definite details for you all!

Yes, I think its a wise idea to hold it at a club where if people feel the urge they can disappear somewhere private.

Not necessarily, I will go for the majority choice for venues (having supplied 2 that shouldn't be too difficult!)and will also do research into budget hotels nearby.

Either place is good for me - though Chams is closer!

Can do either month on a weekend as long as i have enough notice (pref 8 weeks) to sort babysitting!!

There's lots of votes for Cupids so far - I spoke to the staff last night when J and I were in and they are happy to hold it there.

I will do my best to organise it asap so that people can start booking hotels etc.

I will do my best to send out details of local hotels too for whichever venue we choose.

Oh and yes Obi you can have my sofa!

Ooh sounds like fun, Fliss and i should finally be able to get out and about over the summer and it would be great to meet everybody in a social setting, think a preference for Manchester in July from us.

There's usually a bank holiday party at chams in August plus I think there's is a bbw social sometime around then (can't remember what dates I've booked lol) so I would say cupids.

Can you please clarify if those that are not members will need to get one before hand for either club? Can guest females be accompanied by a male member?

Cupids isn't members only. Anyone can attend.

Nearer the time I will, of course, post all details including opening times, club rules and other important information. At the moment nothing is set in stone about dates or location.

Ruby's liaising with the clubs once we have a list sorted with numbers, club/date preferences etc and hoping to have a definite club and date within a week or two

Once that is done club rules, prices and any general info - including near by hotels - will be posted for everyone to see

Just to say, there's no guarantees that this is going to be a private party - I'm in the very early stages of planning it and have nothing definite yet. The party will go ahead however, but today was just to gauge interest.

I'd be very interested, as long as its a weekend no preferance on jy or August. Chams is nearer for me, but Manchester isn't far and happy to offer lifts from west Mids or Portsmouth xx
