I’ve had people say they were going to block me , after I said something in a post , I’m a gay man , a straight couple saying there going to block me , how would that affect me ? |

I rarely hit my block button."
Could be other reasons, profile might have been under review or something. Can’t see why anyone would block you!  |

Yep. And worse when you get reported for making a firm response to an idiotic and potentially harmful first post and moderators suspend you for it, plainly without having taken time to properly understand the merits of either. |

Yep. And worse when you get reported for making a firm response to an idiotic and potentially harmful first post and moderators suspend you for it, plainly without having taken time to properly understand the merits of either."

Some people are fickle characters. We have been blocked because we had a difference of opinion,
Do we care that we are blocked?.....not at all. It doesn't affect our lives so not worth caring about.
We rarely feel the need to use the block button. |

Don’t know if they do tbh because I’m unlikely to attempt to contact anyone as like to keep it to the forums. Sure I’ve been blocked by a few for standing up for myself but it’s all good xx |

Can be, especially if you see them still being twats. It’s like “do I really have to see your bullshit when I’ve tried to avoid your bullshit in the first place!” Even worse as they can try to converse with you on here.
A friend blocked some creep and he decided to keep his stalking going on the forums- he’s gone now so assuming Fab removed him from the site, which she’s relieved about xx |

Haha agreed! I started a thread up this morning about hotlist and bloke list to be visible!
I think if someone blocks you,
you shouldn’t be able to have any interaction with them be it in forums or chat rooms!
I personally since using the forums more during lock down have noticed the slight increase in people and couples that have blocked me!
But in all fairness I’d rather be someone’s shot of whiskey then everyone’s cup of tea

Depends on what sort of mood I'm in that said there's a few on here I've blocked based on their post's, attitudes and profile 99% certain that if we ever met most definitely wouldn't get on.
So I block them incase there's ever a situation where we might meet up.
And no I don't always remember people's usernames also people do change them.

I really don’t give a shit anymore. Strangers and forum users block me frequently., unfriend me because of differences of opinion. Shrugs - nowt as funny as folk. Sometimes a block is perfectly understandable if you never wish to speak to someone, but others just make me smile now.

Sometimes blocking people is self care. And although it makes little difference on the forums, they can’t see your profile or message you anymore. For some people, that’s important. |

Unless it's changed, you can't interact with people that have blocked you in the chat rooms.
For me it makes no difference, if they want to block me for something I say then so be it, not everyone has the same views/opinions and that's what's so great!
But I also don't know people have blocked me as I don't check people's profiles from the forum that often. I have had someone tell me they blocked me for a reason when I replied to their comment... how was I to know |

I’d understand a forum block if it blocked you from seeing their future posts but it doesn’t.
I’ve had loads of blocks. Loads of the regular women on hot pics have me blocked as well I’ve noticed when I’ve gone to look at their other pics. |

Dead right. And I got suspended recently when someone reported me cos they didn't like my 'direct' response to their obnoxious and potentially dangerous pontification. Moderators plainly react automatically and without real thought, otherwise the other person should have been canned. |

I blocked loads the other day from 1 topic.
They were very clear in their opinion of certain types of people on fab and decided the least I stumble across them the better for me and them.

Meh I don't really care enough to find it petty. I just think it's pointless as you can still see everything they post. I only really block people because of their messages though I might block someone on the forum if they're particularly unpleasant if they're local to me. |

If someone just doesn't agree with someone's opinion then I think it's maybe a bit petty as at the end of the day we are all different and have different views which everyone is entitled to.
However I have blocked a couple of people due to what I feel is just constant trolling or being rude on forums. One is very popular on here with others which is fine. But i'm not a fan. So to save any direct messaging or profile viewing I blocked. |

loads have blocked me and that's down to them.
sometimes its a misunderstand they block you for because you can read into something and get it wrong.
so you don't get the chance to explain yourself fully.
but that's do to them for not messaging you first and asking about your comment. |

I find it is no surprise whatsoever. Many people don’t like to agree to disagree and mistake differences of opinion for an enforcement of views or opinions they don’t align with.
That being said, a “block” would only matter if you were a friend/speaking on a 121 basis ? |
