I do love dogs but I'm def more of a Cat person. Cats are such complex creatures, you can't ever take their love for granted, and you can't buy it. You have to prove to them every day that you love them, offend them and they will not easily forgive and forget. And they can be spiteful and downright vindictive when crossed lol.
The psychology of cats is fascinating and if you take the time and trouble to learn their body language and how they communicate you will aler your relationship with them completely. If you are lucky earn the trust and affection of a cat, the love you get back is so rich and boundless, that it's more worth the odd dead mouse in your shoe! |

I obviously wouldn’t have loved your tarantula but I’m sad you lost all your beloved pets in the fire sounds like a very difficult time. I hope things are back on track now. Well apart from the current situation we all got. Pets are awesome and it’s very individual  |

My housemate has 2 cats (brothers) and as she is away for a while I'm cat sitting. In that few weeks I've found it very easy to read their moods. And got them to obey a few simple commands too |

We’re cat people but considering a medium sized sheepdog in the future when we find a permanent base and have the time and space needed fo a dog.
Our cats absolutely despise us most of the time, ignore us, arrogant little fuckers, when they do look at you it’s like they are royalty saying WTF now you peasant.
Then occasionally they switch and are adorable, spread eagle, purring like a pneumatic drill, drooling for hours and hours while you stroke their tummy’s. Fucked up little schitzos |

I run a cattery and have a special cat of my own, i rescued him at 8 weeks old and he is the most amazing companion, i also have 2 large dogs which are mostly guard dogs for the property and all 3 get on very well though my cat is the boss! So i have joint respect for both. Thousands of years ago cats were worshipped as gods, cats have never forgotten this! |
