I am also training at home. I have some basic weights and a dip bar, it is all you need and I recommend anyone to have it.
When you are training with not so heavy weights you should focus with time under tension which means that a rep could take 4 seconds you will feel it as the muscles are starting to shake abit like jelly then you know you are working it.
With the dip bar I add some weights to the bag with slow controlled reps.
Do the same with push ups although you are using less weight if your feet is at the ground about 75% of the body weight is used, but by putting up your feet on the sofa you are suddenly using 100% of your weight the higher up the more resistsnce is being used, using a weight bag will add to the total weight being used.
I follow a basic full body workout program with one excersize per body part 3 times a week it is fun |

"I'm still going to the gym until they close it, went the other night and no waiting to get on any machines and it's a spotless gym anyway.
With sweat?"
Even before all this coronabola stuff they had sanitizer and wipes all over, and I'm not really bothered about catching it anyway, the sooner immunity starts building up the quicker it will be over. Standard flu kills over 17,000 people a year just in the UK and nobody bats an eyelid. Covid 19 hasn't killed anywhere near that number and it's only been blown up so much because it's new. |

So you don't care about passing it on to someone with health issues or anything then?

Aren't people with health issues meant to be self isolating?? |

I am a smoker and pretty
unfit. I was using the gym and pool 3 times a week but haven't been for ages. This looks good though as I need something I can do from home |

Personally I find gyms quite pressurising as there's queues sometimes, or you're self conscious about something, but this video I shared is one I use myself and I'm happy with the end product.. But, if you get bored with that one, feel free to message me anytime or look at the related videos to it, or.. Subscribe to that channel and I'm sure they'll have more Just get your motivation music and the rest is easy

I'm not going to be going near anyone elderly or with health issues, my work is on shutdown and I won't be seeing any friends or relatives for the foreseeable. I'd assume any others who are still going to the gym don't consider themselves in the at risk group. |

There was a funny video of a man making a treadmill on his tiled kitchen floor with washing up liquid and water in a puddle.
Hold tight to the worksurface though |

"Any tips welcome.
Def not risking the gym... "
I’ve been following jo wicks HIIT workouts for over a year now. He has workouts for all levels from beginner to advance, and anything from 10-30 minutes.
I’ve lost 2.2 stone!
Do them every day and love them.
Best of luck x |

I would do pressups, situps, squats and planks at home plus I have a rowing machine also. I'm still going to the gym though as it's still open and has antibacterial sprays and wipes and certain machines are closed off to keep social distancing. Anyone still using the gym, like myself, does so at their own risk and outside of work and gym I'm staying indoors. |

Theres some decent apps out there to help keep you trim. Use the myfitnessapp for logging your meals etc and invest in a sports watch to tack your steps and calories. |

Unfortunately home training for me is next to useless, my strength will fall off a cliff if it ends up being some sort of full lock down.
Have some bands but only so much I can maintain with those.
Just have to work hard to get it all back again.
Still at the gym for now, going very late when almost empty.

Milk?? Milk??? Where??? Both my local W'rose and Tscos have completely run out.
You could lift me up, that'll keep you fit |

Here is another tip, you can use a broom stick to do 3 excersizes such as biceps curls, standing shoulder press and the bent over lat pull, just take the broom stick with one bag on each side then you can either fill the bags with water bottles, sand or water |
