Are you confrontational?
Are you happy to send a meal back at a restaurant if it isn't quite right?
Or do you demand to speak to a manager when you're over charged something by a few pence?
etc |

For me, it depends on my mood the time. I went out a few weeks ago and the food was crap, but I was so hungry that I just wanted to eat.
There are times when I've simply got up and asked for a refund. Lol. "Hi, I'd like a refund on the meal please." Oh whys that? "Well come and take a look. Would you eat this?"... Errrr, I'll refund you now. "No, seriously, have a sit down! Try it!" No I'll give you refund now.

Ive brought back coffees and food that werent made right. The way i look at it is im paying money for this so it should be at least edible. That being said i always have a knot in my stomach doing it |

My job is very confrontational .. so i like a nice easy quiet time when I'm off ... but there sometimes comes a point where i have to dig my heals in to sort things out and then i do .. almost like flipping a switch

Depends on the circumstances. I can be bad with road rage or if I see someone being mistreated etc. I wouldnt with a meal because who ever served it is just the middle man. |

"If the meal isn’t cooked or what I asked for then definitely I will send it back and have done.
I wouldn’t say it’s confrontational, just getting what you asked / paid for "
Yea, if it was raw chicken on my plate or something then I would send it back.
But if it was something small like my boiled potatoes weren't soft enough then I'd just eat it |

Exactly that, some things aren’t worth stressing over, it happens. I wouldn’t make a big fuss just ask for it to be cooked more or what is needed. Chefs have bad days to |

I am happy to complain if there is a genuine issue. I'm also equally happy to compliment when things are done very well.
I'm really comfortable with awkward conversations and I'm happy to discuss the issue and what remedy I would like. |

You can stand up for your rights without being confrontational or rude.
I would always send an inedible meal back, but I would be very polite about doing it |

I would complain in a restaurant, I’m not rude about it though.
In the USA I got 4 meals for the price of one, we had waited a ridiculous amount of time to be served.
On the counter side, I’ll give compliments too and a tip. |

If there’s a genuine problem that should be resolved, sure. I’ll complain.
If it’s petty (like a few pence, one erroneous drink on the bill for a couple of quid or some other small thing) then no, life’s too short. |

Oh yes, if something isn't quite what I've paid for then I'll make sure they know about it. Having said that, I don't go screaming at them, I mention it politely and see if it can be sorted. |

If the food isn’t right for whatever reason I’ll just politely put my hand up and speak to a member of staff or have a friendly chat with the manager, did it recently at a meal which wasn’t cooked properly and spoke to the manager quietly he fully agreed and refunded the starters and the two mains straight away said sorry and gave us desserts for free. There’s no need to moan scream and shout it gets you no where. |

I wouldn’t say I’m confrontational but I have a bit of a mantra I give value for money and I expect value for money. Therefore if something isn’t right I’ll say, especially when it comes to eating out |

I hate confrontation or conflict, & generally avoid it if at all possible. I'll often put up with things not being perfect for me, rather than risk upsetting anyone else .
The only exception to that is if anyone dares to do anything to cross or hurt my children or someone I love, in those circumstances I will unleash hell if I have to.

If something isnt right then I will politely point it out. I dont make demands... mistakes happen and people who wait tables take enough crap from rude customers.... always be kind and thoughtful... |

I work in a complaints department and deal with several a day, it makes no difference what industry a complaint is something someone is not happy about and in my view needs to be rectified to everyone's satisfaction, when I looked after several restaurants sometimes the meal wasn't to someone's liking if I was told after the meal I would not charge, apologise and offer a free meal another night, if I was told instantly I would replace the meal again with no charge that to me is customer service, now like most on here if something isn't to my liking and I feel the need to complain I will do so politely and definitely make a note on the response as to whether I except or escalate further |

Yes yes and yes. If I’m paying for something I expect it to be as it should be. I hate poor customer service too. I don’t give it in my business and I don’t expect it from anyone else. I’ll always say something. |

"Confrontational no, stand up for myself yes. I will indeed return a meal etc but I will do so politely (not apologetically) but firmly."
Same.
Some people just don't seem to be able to match their attitude and complaint to the service. They go from 0 to 100 instantly. |

Oh yes. I don’t kick off. I’m always polite but firm. I won’t walk away until it’s sorted. I’m very calm believe it or not |

I'm not confrontational but I'm not afraid of conflict if that makes sense.
If I'm not happy with a meal or service Iv received I will say something.
I have many times challenged people when Iv seen awful behaviour.
I'm nice and polite but I won't stand for being treated badly or if I whitness others being treated badly. |
