He will eventually leave me for someone else.8.in an argument they always walk out and dont come back rather than try and sort it.these have happened to me in the past.thats why i would rather be single than to go though it again.

Good. It's good you've decided not to be in a relationship.

It's not necessary for anything.

Simple as that.

Love yourself. Find good friends.

most fundamental aspects

I will never have a relationship again... a monogamous one that is.

I have found that by starting out open and remaining open with communication about who we see, how we feel, giving each other the space we need, I’ve had the most fulfilling relationships I’ve ever had. Sure, even in open relationships, things have been rocky sometimes but not nearly to the extent of past mono relationships

Not every guy is a dick and some may even let you borrow their clothes, lingerie and make up

Seriously though, there is good and bad in everyone and you just have to decide what is right for you.

Be single and enjoy it and if you can find a little slice of the good things like snuggles and happy times then it makes life brilliant without having to be in a relationship if you don't want to

There are alot of arseholes out there but there are also alot of genuine loving men.

I had my share of horrible relationships, trust ruined. Dont let the minority destroy how you will perceive men in future.

It took me yrs to find what i have. a gentleman when he needs to be and an animal in the bedroom. Haha

Self love(both ways) lol. Will help you love life again x

Maybe true, I can't say, I have not met the men you have. In my experience of life I have come across men and women who are selfish. Have also come across those who just the opposite i.e. giving, concerned, sharing, etc...

Applies in all walks of life, work and social life....

One man treated me badly. I got rid and never allowed it to happen again.

If not being in a relationship is your way of not letting it happen again go for it.

Tarka trail

I am a bar steward. As both my parents are dead.

Saying that. It works both ways. My wife had various affairs. She eventually left me for a younger man 15 years ago. leaving me to bring up 3 children on my own.

All the women that I have dated had been unfaithful. One of them was even fucking my younger brother.

Denise. Chin up my girl.

It may sound a bit harsh but I'd have to agree with him too.

Some people aren't cut out for a relationship either and I'm not saying you aren't but definitely sound that you're not in the right place for one. I'm hoping this changes though.

That's very toxic and sounds like you think that because of what you have gone through...the never been in love could be the reason men have left you though. Your obviously not compatible from the start.

Relationships are not easy, they take work on both sides maybe you need to look at your own approach

If one makes big demands, expect less flexibility. Having an overly high or low view of oneself and ones needs in a relationship can make one chronically unhappy. Your partner will never be able to live up to them nor attain what you expect. Some never prepare the way for a successful relationship.... Often doomed before it starts.

I’d love a relationship. Someone who’s my own. Guaranteed sex whenever we want, sex that just gets better and better as you both learn each other’s buttons and likes.

As long as the person you’re with makes you feel loved they can do all their hobbies like drinks with the boys or playing sports or whatever. I’d love a guy that would get steaming once a week and then need looking after the next day cos he’s all fucked up and delicate.

ALL my ex’s I trained to have their nights out and get fucked up and then I’d do the care package the next day.

One guy liked a double decker and a bottle of purdeys, one liked an orangina and a tin of pineapple rings, one just liked a mars milkshake, but I’d wash them all in the bath and just pamper them all day, willy smooths, cwtches, one liked having his eyebrows stroked. Fucking love all that shit I do.

There’s a lot of double standards here. I’d have no problem dating a guy from fab because as far as I’m concerned I could meet a guy here, the gym, my local Asda, in a night club wouldn’t matter to me. If you connect with someone you connect with someone regardless of where you met them. But most guys wouldn’t consider dating a woman from here cos they see us as dirty or just good for a fuck and wouldn’t make a gf out of someone who had rude pictures of themselves on what’s essentially a fuck site.

The amount of guys in relationships that seek sex on the side from here, like they want to marry nice but shag nasty.

DARTFORD

Relationships are a job that requires continuous input from all parties involved. Some people just aren't good at their jobs, man or woman. It's not for everyone.

It's understandable that people say things like this from a place of hurt but reducing people to categories is, in my opinion, only counterproductive if your aim is to grow. It's always strange to me that most people understand that if for example you have a bad experience with a person of a different ethnicity, you don't treat everyone from that group as if they also did you wrong, yet people have a hard time applying the same principle to gender.

Anyway OP, I hope whatever outlook you choose to have brings you what we're all after

You sound really wounded, OP, and I empathise. Despite trying, I've yet to meet a man who treats me in a relationship the way I treat him & hope to treated in return, but I DO know such men exist. I'm wholly optimistic that I will meet someone, some day, that offers that mutual respect and reciprocated affection that we all crave.

Don't give up hope!

I have to agree with you, if that's how you've been treated, it will always be in your mind that it's going to happen again. And as I've been married 3 times I'm sorry to say it probably will. Not only did I give up on having a relationship with a woman again, I decided that I'd try men, just casual, then suddenly they want more of you that you're willing to give. I realise I need to live alone, and find fulfillment through sites like this.

from Home Counties to Middle Earth

This is very sad and disheartening to read OP. It's certainly not how life is for me, or generally, in my opinion.

It takes time to heal hurt. If you only do one thing for yourself, learn to love and respect yourself, only then will you love and respect others who can love and respect you in return.

Equally, if you expect bad stuff to happen, it will.

It's the laws of attraction and projection.

You cannot change others, you can only change yourself.

"I’d love a relationship.

Me also but apparently as im told fabs not a dating site its a fucking site but as i am my own person fab can be what ever i want it to be ...

Fab men don’t see us as relationship material because we are members of this site and I’ve done my research on that topic believe me! This also goes back to an angle of respect....Not the men i have dated from here 4 years and a 19 months .

You have been lucky then.....

As I and others have pointed out, there are lots of couples who met on here.

What I don't understand is why you even care what men are like on here since it's clear from your earlier comments you don't believe nice men exist?

"

I am merely contributing to the thread. If you don’t like my contribution then pass it by. We are all entitled to our opinions that’s what the forums are about.

Is it impossible to do this whilst still caring for someone else?

It must be terrible to feel that way.

But I just don't get your point number 6 i have never been 'in love'with anyone and that wont change.

If you have never been in love with anyone yet they might love you but feel that you will never love them then eventually they will get pissed off.

And give up on you.

Just my take on it.

I think the point is that there's always going to be occasional difficulties in any long term relationship. When those hit, you can either work to make things better or abandon the relationship in the probably false belief the grass is greener elsewhere.

And as a general point if every relationship you've had is shit, there's a pretty good chance that you are the problem.

Also for the people that say there’s plenty of couples that have met on here and remain on here. I’m not talking about a swinging relationship where you still want to sleep with others. I’m talking about a monogamous relationship where you only sleep with each other and give up this place once you’ve found it.

Those are the men I’m referring to.

If you want a swinging relationship then obviously here would be a good place to find one.

Well yes, if you want a monogamous relationship looking for one on a site for people who are non monogamous is always going to be problematic...

We met on here and got into a relationship with the expectation that it would be monogamous. However, as time went on we realised that we wanted to explore the swinging world together.

There are lots of profiles (though I'll admit that my research is heavily biased towards the female ones) that include sentences like 'Not looking for meets, I've found my perfect man, just here to keep in touch'

I hope you get to find Mr right, either on here or else where.

P

I've no knowledge of your relationship, so I've no idea who might have been at fault in it. My point is a general one that if someone is a common denominator in a series of shit relationships then they're probably better off considering where they might be going wrong than blaming other people

Op, it's a big old world out there. Can't really paint all men in the same brush.

Been with my lady for almost a decade and we not even married. Yet can't imagine a day where I would walk out on her for an ex or for some beer But then I'm not a pub goer anyway.

My close friends sometimes mock me saying I'm too effeminate. But it's ok. Nothing to prove. I like treating her as my queen.

If you want to be happy as a singleton that's absolutely fine. But don't think it's a healthy thought process to be single because of some bad experiences.

And like others have said. Just haven't met the right one yet. There's always something for someone. Keep your chin up
