What's horrid about the natural human form? Nobody would think twice about pubes if it wasn't for porn creating these social expectations |

In the same way we all take pride in our appearance (each of us with our own style and preference), I would think this should stretch to our pubes when these are being offered and on display. |

These threads always make great filters. The way some childishly react to body hair, which is a natural phenomenon, always surprises me.
Thank fuck those that message me are a bit more worldly.

Sometimes I'm bald as a billiard ball, sometimes trimmed, sometimes bristly, sometimes full-on 1970s massive bush with more hair in my knickers than on my head.
Depends on my mood, but it's ultimately my choice, and in exactly the same way I wouldn't dictate to a man what he ought to do with his pubes, I wouldn't let him dictate to me either. |

Why oh why do so many *still* assume if someone chooses to retain their pubes in a manner they don't find appealing (which is fine) that by default the person(s) concerned can't possibly be taking care of, or pride in, their appearance?
I'm 'natural' almost always because my skin's very sensitive and the alternative is, for me, a time consuming chore I can't usually be arsed with that usually ends in an unattractive and/or painful skin rash, nasty ingrown hairs or cuts. Now *that's* 'horrid' and it wreaks havoc on my self esteem!
People style/alter myriad aspects of their appearance in all sorts of different ways - from the hair on their head, to tattoos and piercings, to bodybuilding, cosmetic surgery or even their clothing and makeup choices. Obviously we all have personal preferences and may be turned off by some of them. Doesn't mean they're not taking care of themselves though. To start this thread off by saying 'in this day and age...' isn't simply an observation about different pube preferences but an implied criticism towards people (and it's women who get most stick about it usually) who have the temerity to keep a full on bush, as if there's 'no excuse' to do so and they're somehow being lazy or letting the side down! |

It is funny how this forum changes on a daily basis....one day it is a preference the next it is body shaming. Does this mean people who meets others don't check any of their appearance when going on a meet and just turn up and say "don't body shame me and fuck me anyway even if something is turning you off "
To the OP, I like a man hairy but tidy pubes, I like to have tidy pubes too...just like I like my nails done |

100% agree !! "Industrial" porn, as opposed to amateur porn, has a lot to answer for. Amateur portrays real people. Brings to mind the old New of the World masthead "All human life is here" or words to that effect..!! |

It's all down to personal choice, OP and a full on bush/smooth or groomed area does NOT define a person.
My preference is, nether regions groomed or shaved. However, if I really fancied the bloke and there was a connection, a full bush wouldn't put me off him . Incidentally mines changes on whether I have time/can be bothered or on mood. |

Really?
So expressing a preference by putting down those who don't match that preference with unnecessarily negative terms such as 'vile', 'yuck', 'revolting', 'disgusting', 'ewwww', or 'foul' - all of which I've regularly seen on threads about pubic hair is okay because it prevents the world becoming a 'fluffy wuffy place'?
By all means have a preference but surely you can own it in a positive way without resorting to childish or body shaming remarks?
There are many who only find slimmer people attractive for example. Would it therefore be acceptable for them to express that preference in the forums by referring to larger people as 'vile'? After all we can't decide how people speak |

Having a preference is one thing, and perfectly natural and fine - expressing that preference in negative or derogatory terms (as is often the case on threads like this) is not and I think that's the problem that many seem unable to contain themselves over when expressing preferences on here, regardless of the preference.
Saying you prefer smooth is absolutely fine, saying you prefer smooth because you find hairy vile, repulsive or even eeewwww puts a totally different spin on that preference and it's no wonder people react to it.
If people just accepted we are all different and like different things, without feeling the need to be derogatory, it would be a much happier place |

How people choose to deal (or not deal) with their pubes is totally up to them. If it's that important to you OP, it's quite easy to avoid those that you think are "horrid".
We think that cock avatars are " horrid" but accept that that's absolutely their right to do if they choose - we won't start a thread with the intention of trying to shame or change them, we simply avoid them.
Nothing wrong with judging what's right or wrong for you, but don't judge what's right or wrong for others.

Because they don't say a bush is vile "for THEM" (and even that without some balance as to why *could* be seen as derogatory) the tendency is to say it's vile full stop - which is both derogatory and actually picking on anyone that does have a bush.
I'm not saying anyone should conform to anything either, other than common decency and respect - and using derogatory terms to express a preference, I think we would both agree, is neither of those things.
I'm all for freedom of speech and defend anyones right to hold whatever preference they want, but personally think that describing something as "vile" "disgusting" or worse goes beyond expressing a simple preference. |

I think feet are vile, I don't touch anyone else's and if anyone came near mine they would be told to sod off. I defend my right to say that no matter who agrees with it
"
I don't like feet either, to the point where I physically gag if someone touches mine but people have feet so am much as I don't like mine or other people's they are there and if I want to have sex, I have to put up with feet being around me. It should be the same for body hair surely? Everyone's personal preference and not dictated by what other people like or don't like? |

"These threads always make great filters. The way some childishly react to body hair, which is a natural phenomenon, always surprises me.
Thank fuck those that message me are a bit more worldly.
Why is it childish ? "
Because the way the preference has been expressed doesn't indicate a very grownup attitude towards sex |

"In today’s day n age shouldn’t we all take a little bit of care and pride of our pubes? Personally seeing pubes au naturale is horrid!"
You are perfectly entitled to your preference, but you are not entitled to tell others what they should do.
Each to their own. |

You may consider them "vile": difficult to stand up without them, unless you have prosthetic limbs...!! |

I'm all for freedom of speech and defend anyones right to hold whatever preference they want, but personally think that describing something as "vile" "disgusting" or worse goes beyond expressing a simple preference.

I think you have missed the point of my post. None of my posts say that people should or shouldn't have body hair

OMG I hate to see shaved balls
I love hairy men, chest, arms, back and especially when it’s surrounding a decent sized cock. The more hair and the wilder it is the better. Massive turn on for me |

"Personal preference is obviously expressed in a different way to body shaming. It's all in the way that it's done.
We can't decide how people speak the same way as we can't decide whether they have a full bush or not
I am beginning to think that the world is going to be a fluffy wuffy place with no real substance if people keep getting shot down for having a view"
There's a difference entirely from saying someone prefers shaven or trimmed but to say someone's unclean or disgusting, untidy, not self respecting for having a bush is not acceptable form of stating a preference.
If you don't like the bush fine but can't shame a person for having one.
Someone said on the forum about the bush being unnatural and disgusting... if it was unnatural it wouldn't be there in the first place. The disposable razor and marketing to increase purchases started all the shaming of body hair. |
