Just researched as this is interesting. Following a 1991 VAT review they are now classed as cakes as chocolate biscuits (not plain biscuits) were subject to vat.

I ask this question alot lol for me I'd be a choccy hobnob because I'm chunky, tasty, not the best looking biscuit but I don't fall apart after one dunk |

Just got in from work and googled dead fly biscuits. Garibaldi, that’s what they were, flat long slabs you could break a piece off with raisins in (hence dead flies), haven’t seen them in ages. |
