Manchester

My first thread got full so continuing here for you all.

...how worried are you?

It's a pandemic (just not official) and UK deaths predicted are 500,000 so will you refrain from venturing to clubs, parties and other places where lots congregate?

over there by that tree

Not worried in the slightest... I’m fit and healthy with no underlying illnesses - if I pick it up which is very unlikely then I’d probably make a full recovery as I would with normal flu.

Yes but others may not. That's why it's vital people like you properly self isolate if you do get.

And the same will happen with Corona virus, I dont quite understand the hysteria about it, noro virus etc has been killing people for years, they'll soon find a defence for it, and I cant help but think a lot of what gets reported is for slight of hand purposes to distract people from something else, like they do just before go to war or something, and also given that we're in the process of making trade deals and whole huwawai spying thing, cant help but think in the uk at least

Maybe it's being over reported.

500000 dead?

Seems a little high. Someone has clearly assumed everyone in the UK will catch it.

It is clear that the world is taking it seriously, all the steps begin taken are not hype, they are steps to slow the spread. If it spreads slowly it stops mass panic and allows some sense of control whilst a vaccine is developed.

The original bat burger/stew must surely now be considered to be the most expensive meal ever consumed?

Its going to hit alot of businesses hard. Not sure how swinging clubs will manage as once it arrives you can see clubs heaving to shut doors or risk licensing being revoked.

To pick up where I left off:

Not remotely worried. SARS didn't get me. MERS didn't get me, Bird flu, Swine flu, and that one you're supposed get from kissing girls all failed to do me in. I reckon this one will be about as devastating as the rest (i.e. not very).

If I die of irony tomorrow, you'll all have to fight amongst yourselves over my record collection...
