"What is your favourite comedy?
Mine has to Uncle Buck. I could watch it everyday"
Great movie. "Take this quarter, go downtown and have a rat gnaw that thing off your face." |

My favourite is
Bug: Ever hear of a tune up? Hee hee hee hee hee.
Buck: Ah, heh heh heh. Ever hear of a ritual killing? Ah, heh heh heh heh heh!
Bug: I don't get it.
Buck: You gnaw on her face in public like that again and you'll be one. Ah, heh heh heh heh! |

As popular as it was, The IT Crowd is such an underrated comedy. Its absolute genius |

Blimey, there's some shit in this thread!
Probably Inside No. 9 on TV right now.
Ted and IT Crowd were great. Shame Graham Linehan has gone off the rails WRT transphobia, doesn't look like he'll be getting any more TV commissions any time soon. |

Not really a fan of canned laughter TV shows. Just take a look at a comedy show with the laugh track removed, the level of comedy goes along with it.
I prefer subtle comedy that is interwoven with the rest of the show. |

Hmm, tough one...
TV - Coupling, IT Crowd, Fry & Laurie (if sketch shows are allowed)
Film - Top Secret, Airplane, Python (Grail, Brian and Completely Different)
Linehan may not do TV work again any time soon, but they are currently mid-creation of Father Ted the Musical! Expected to make it to stage in 2021 |

Can't believe nobody has said Fleabag... Just binge-watched 2 series on iPlayer - it's the best, funniest, cleverest comedy I've ever seen.
I genuinely thought comedy had lost its appeal to a cynical old twunt like me, but it was genuinely laugh-out-loud, tears-down-the-face funny.
A little bit heartbreaking too... |

Fleabag was excellent!
The lead actress wrote the series and also wrote Killing Eve - amazing talented woman.

I was thinking about having a Kevin Smith binge next week, chasing Amy, mallrats, clerks 1 and 2, jay and silent bob 1 and 2 and dogma |
