Bonham better drummer

Jones better bassist

Page better guitarist

Not much between Plant & Mercury, Freddie possibly just edges it.

Zeppelin for me.

Morris Minor and the Majors - trump them both

Album wise, Zep do it for me, live tho, I preferred Queen. Then again, Zep were in the awful Earl’s Court and I was fortunate enough to see Queen at their pomp in a 2000 seater venue

I’m not sure there’s much between drummer or bassist in either band. All solid - but none of them distinctive.

Both guitarists have written memorable riffs. Overall, Brian May’s guitar sound and technique is instantly recognisable whereas you would never listen to a record and spot that it was Jimmy Page, regardless of his talent and ability. Probably because of his years as a session musician (other than around 1964 when he was the only person it seems that owned a fuzz box).

You don’t listen to “Downtown” by Petula Clark and say, “Wow, that’s Jimmy Page on guitar.” (But it is).

Freddie way outperforms Plant in terms of vocal range - and strength.

Neither band would be my immediate choice. I prefer The ‘Oo #WontGetFooledAgain

I much prefer the music of Queen to Led Zep, the songs are much better. Musically, they are (were) all incredibly talented.
