So I was in the gym yesterday. It was leg day. I try to ignore the rubbish my gym plays over the loudspeaker.

I'm not sure why, but there was something peculiarly uninspiring about Robbie Williams Rock DJ.

Any songs that really put you off?

Almost everything they play in my gym. I stick my headphones in and stream what I feel like at the time.

Some of the remixes I hear are so bad they're distracting. Like, that's a song I know except... not

In my experience, anything ever played publicly in a gym is pretty awful. I think it's a form of democracy. They give nobody what they want rather than favour certain individuals.

Somewhere In The Ether…

I love classical music but can’t imagine training with any particular vigor to something like Moonlight Sonata.

....Well, with the exception of the third movement if I’m going all out

Earphones in all the time as it’s usually always dire and I can’t be dealing with listening to the grunts from the women in the weight room either!!

I like to train to heavy metal, the gym would prefer me to train to Kiss FM. Wireless earbuds win!

I actually like the grunting. I'm broken.

Stuff that! Stick the earbuds in and listen to what I feel in the mood for.
