I dine out more often than I eat at home. I like good food, something quirky or maybe in a beautiful setting. Not necessarily posh, but something I don't feel as though I can do better myself at home.
Casual dining maybe? |

All of the above except posh restaurant.
Although it depends what you call posh. I call miller and carter posh and I like it there. I’m also quite happy at spoons. |

Decent pub food on a plate
I’m sick of being served food on a slate from the roof next door and my drink in a plant pot from one of the windowsills and then charged an extra £25 for the pleasure. |

"Kebab van: I’m classy
I’ve never had a kebab in my life but I’d have one if you took me out to a kebab van "
You’ve never had a kebab m’lady?
My goodness - It will be my honour to take your kebab virginity |

I really like a good pub lunch - some gastropubs do incredible food and combined with a lovely beer garden it's a perfect way to spend a late summer's evening. I like most food to be honest, from a tasting menu with a decent flight of wine to chips, cheese and gravy after a night out. |

Not sure I like the use of the word posh in the context of the question.
I like good food in a comfortable surrounding with balanced service, i.e. no endless waiting but neither with someone fussing over you every couple of minutes.
Food wise, I look for imagination and expertly cooked food. This could be in a restaurant, gastro pub or a country pub.
Fast food and overcooked food are no-no's, as are restaurants with pictures on their menus, please take your time and describe the meal. Also menu's that have so many choices they are more like books, how can the chef possibly cook that many variety of dishes well, actually they can't it's all boil in the bag stuff. |

I’d pick a pub with a pint over a posh restaurant any day. I’ve been on some dates previously in some very posh restaurants in London previously and I always feel so uncomfortable in them! |

All of the above, depending on the situation.
I'm a real foodie, and gastronomical delights are my absolute pleasure, from Michelin starred, to a good takeaway.
You can't beat food cooked for you by someone who cares. |

Definitely not posh restaurants with my common northern/Essex accent, they wouldn't let me in the front door and I certainly don't know which fork and knife to start with
Im more a pub grub kinda girl, few beers, burger and chips and some good laughs is a perfect date for me.. |

Time and a place for both. I prefer actual 'dining' in a non chain restaurant and eating good quality food. I cook and cook very very well so expectations are high when i eat out.
My idea of hell is 'weatherspoons' or 'flaming grill' type of chain pubs. |

Bored of tiny portions of food put together to be deliberately controversial so they can charge the earth. I’m still hungry afterwards! My personal choice:
Fish and chips
Kebab
Chips, gravy and cheese (thanks CW) |

Out with Friends and family - pub grub/good curry house or chinese
In with friends and family - good takeaway
In a rush while out - chicken shop
Looking to impress someone - something homecooked.
