I've had a few now (couples and women) from Ireland ask me to go and see them and as much as I'd love to, in reality it is a bit too far.
If I was already there then absolutely I'd meet them but making that trip just for a few hours of fun alone is unlikely.

I don’t usually like it when people message from far away because unless you invest quite a bit of time before meeting you can end up feeling obliged to go through with something purely because they’ve travelled really far. I wouldn’t feel obliged personally and would say so if I wasn’t feeling it but it can put pressure on others.
A few years back I went all the way up to Hull for a first meet with a guy, that’s over 6 hours on a train but I’d been speaking to him for a month before, had Skyped with him and would speak to him almost every day. I’d seen enough of him and him of me to know that when I got there there would be attraction.
I ended up seeing him for 18 months but it just got too expensive and plus I didn’t really care for his accent and the annunciation of his vowels so when he said he’d move down here I said I wasn’t feeling it anymore.

It was and when I used to go up to see him I did like taking a packed lunch and doing a puzzle on the train and I did like being the only welsh person in an English town. |

I fly to the UK 3 or 4 times per year usually during the MLS. While I'm there I meet with friends and I've set up meets. Long distance isn't a problem for me or the people I've met. We've both had a great time. |

I hardly get any messages so I would be happy to chat with them.
I don't message women who are to far away from me, because I don't think we would ever meet. I only message locals and women who are in my search area when I'm away working.
