"Synth pioneers and eighties legends
Thy favourite tracks my good folks? "
Love them!
Come undone is my favourite, followed by Planet Earth, Girls on Film, A View to A Kill, The Wild Boys!
Had tickets to see them in concert about 10 years ago, but my child became ill and we didn't go! Gutted!

Wouldnt say they were synth pioneers but the first two albums were cracking.
Favourite track? Tough to pick one but I tend to lean towards album tracks
Friends of Mine
The Chauffeur
New Religion
Mind you I love their version of Lou Reed's Perfect Day

Random but nonetheless invaluable Duran Duran factoid: Did you know that John Taylor (bassist) and Roger Taylor (drums) and Andy Taylor (former guitarist) are entirely unrelated?
What are the chances eh?
Also note: Durans, Roger Taylor does NOT in fact play drums for Queen
No need to thank me |

Delighted to see The Chauffeur getting so many votes. I'd say The Chauffeur and Careless Memories. Got a soft spot for Wild Boys too. Ridiculous song...

There and to the left a bit |
Hated them back in the day but have grown to appreciate them a little more now...only really know the singles but picks of the crop for me would be...
Rio
Save A Prayer
Planet Earth
Girls On Film
Le Bon almost drowned during the making of the Wild Boys video apparently
And whoever mentioned View To A Kill and the Aha song as best Bond themes....are you stark raving mad? Goldfinger, Diamonds Are Forever, Live And Let Die for starters are all miles better |

Something along the lines of the opening scene from the Bowie film "The hunger". |

Seen Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel many tines through default at festivals.
TBH didn’t know DD covered it, but thanks for introducing me to it, it’s awesome, & agree much better than the original. Is it on an album, or only a song they play live? When I closed my eyes it could have been Erasure!! |

I can remember watching the video for Girls on Film at my friends. Her grandma was disgusted, we on the other hand were swooning.
Nick Rhodes was my teen crush.
My sister went to see them in the 80's, I must of been 12ish and she said I was too young to go. I never forgave her for that!! |
