Mmmm tricky
Well probably kraftwork as possibly one of the pioneers of this genre and still going to this day.
Also big shout to Vince Clarke who lets face it kinda cornered the market at one stage.

Must say I was a massive massive electro funk and early hip hop fan in early 80's
So loads and loads of non mainstream influences.

For me, as has already been mentioned, Jean Michel Jarre.
From hearing the mere very first ethereal like note on his Oxygene album, one just knew that the work was going to be something quite amazing and it truly was.
