I'm baking my second batch of mince pies of the season - it's one of my favourite festive pastimes, plus I'm a pastry-making fiend (thanks, Delia!).

Fab poll: what's your favourite type of pie?

Mince, meat, fruit, potato, fish, spanakopita...?

I'd go for classic apple pie for everyday, pecan pie for special occasions. Although pecan doesn't have a lid - IS IT EVEN A PIE?
