Ok so we are new to the forum, replied to a few post and I literally kill the conversation! Now, I think my banter isn't too shabby, obviously it's better in person cause I can do impeccably timed winks and such like. Is there an etiquette to this forum malarkey? |

It's not just newbies! It's ceasy to feel totally bypassed in the forum but it's easier if you don't let it bother yourselves! And normally I'm epic at shutting down conversations but just checked and I'm actually not going to add anything else other than welcome! |

Fair point, but then add to the fact that I'm always on at ridiculous o'clock and folk are just tired, texting takes effort at that time in the morning! Genuinely not that bothered, was just curious. I will keep posting my shite chat for all to read! |

I read all posts on a thread that interests me.
I think there are some really lovely posters on here that may not necessarily be forum famous or whatever, but they add common sense, wit and rationale.
So even if you think your post has gone unnoticed, it probably hasn’t. |

The forums can seem to be a bit hard work as a newbie. A few years back I came back on a completely incognito profile and just jumped in on the forums as I would normally.. and the response was considerably different with people assuming I was a newbie.
Just hang in there though.. over a decade on the forums for me .. and still the part of fab that keeps me here x |

I've been chatting shite on the forums for years, and I still have an uncanny ability to thread kill , so I wouldnt worry about it .

welcome folks. It's like being anywhere you post a few times people get a feel for you and it builds.
That doesn't mean even older forum posters always get a reply, they don't.
In the meantime join in, be yourself. It's not always about being witty, if it was I'd be screwed. |

I can kill a forum conversation too (watch me kill yours). I tend not to worry about it. Be YOU, and enjoy, you may find that people initially don’t respond in the open forum but that you get a lot of messages, that’s happened to me and I have made a lot of nice friends that way. |

The forum is great and pretty much the only reason I’m on Fab these days. It can be addictive and a real ‘time stealer’.
Fun and educational- I sometimes make a prick of myself but hey ho.

Goodness knows a few threads have died at my hands. I wouldn't worry about it if I were you.
The most depressing one for me is slightly different. I tried to start a cultural conversation about jazz and it died on its arse. At the same time, somebody else's thread "What's your favourite vegetable?" went down a storm.
