£10 doesn't get me in my local to see a tribute band. It equates to about £42 now, which is about what we've paid each to see IDLES in December and they're hardly a household name like queen were at the time. |

The Wonder Stuff remain one of the best live bands I've ever seen. I saw them at Brixton touring Never Loved Elvis, they were masterly. I wanted to marry Miles Hunt back then. |

"U2 at Cardiff arms park in 1993. Amazing
We had tickets to that but couldn't be bothered to drive there so we went to see Steve Lukather at The Robin in Bilston instead.
Couldn’t be bothered to drive there lol. Not really into U2 then was you lol
Saw them on the 'Boy' tour, so yeah, you could probably say I was a fan."
Boy, October & War tours....not since though, not a stadium gig person. |

"Rainbow at Bingley Hall in Stafford on 23rd February 1980.
Tickets were £4.
I saw Queen in December that year and there was a big fuss that a rock band had the audacity to charge £10/ticket
Think of what bands charge now
£10 doesn't get me in my local to see a tribute band. It equates to about £42 now, which is about what we've paid each to see IDLES in December and they're hardly a household name like queen were at the time."
It's crazy how times have changed. |

I did Milton Keynes and the NEC on the Unforgettable Fire your and the NEC on the All that You Can't Leave Behind Tour as well as Boy, October and War but I've never seen them in a stadium, unless you count Glastonbury? |

It's the only income stream that bands have now, pretty much. |

Never knew it was called bingley Hall always known it as the county show ground. Also why did they stop with gigs? Just looked at who had played there and mind blowing. |

The NEC happened and it was pretty much all over for Bingley Hall by about 1984. |
