"The idea of an electric blanket scares me, sleeping wrapped in something that could short circuit while I'm sleeping.
Plus I normally always too warm at night anyway. "
Most have safety cut outs. Many have timers that switch off after a certain time too. |

"I always sleep with the windows open. Get way too hot at night. Doesn’t matter if it’s -5 outside, windows are wide open!"
Same. I get a headache if I don’t. It could be snowing but they’re still open. |

I'm with you two. I feel like I'm being tortured when someone puts the heating on, never mind having a radiator built into a blanket! |

Now I’m not one to ramble on (much), gloat nor repeat myself again and again but has anyone experienced the heavenly joy of a halogen heater? Instant heat, a wonderful glow and they even rotate like a fan. |

"I just put my winter duvet on the bed tonight as the summer one was getting to cold no electricity blanket or water bottle for me. I warm my bed up. "

"Corkscrews /bottle openers. Especially those you can attach to a keyring for spontaneous al fresco purposes.
Are you thinking of a picnic blanket rather than an electric blanket ?"
Yep. You can't plug tuther one in outdoors, innit. |

Is that an invite "
Yes indeedy - come and sit by me as we bask in the warm glow. I bet we could even toast something on it - crumpets? |

Ooh, smearing butter into every nook so it’ll dribble out all over your fingers with the first bite. This takes crumpet to a whole new level |

I have never before been so sexually aroused by the thought of crumpet consumption; Indeed, toasted hot cross buns have never bequeathed me such a resulting, wondrous erection. Am I normal? Are there helplines for this particular sort of thing? |

Nooooooo!
Cold beds are so much nicer - with a heavy duvet - bliss!
I like to have had the window open just before bed, let the fresh air in so bed feels extra snuggly

I love mine, have no heating in my flat and it's an old building so if it's cold outside it is freezing in my bedroom. Have it on for about an hour before I get into bed, keep it on until my feet defrost and I am warm enough and then it goes off for the night. When you get up to pee you have to run back to bed quick before the body heat leaves. Got ten tog duvet with a throw over it, anything heavier than that and I feel crushed and I find pjs too restrictive as I sleep as I am one of those tossing and turning restless sleepers. Wouldn't survive winters without my electric blanket! |
