The beauty of nature

One of the things that I love most in the world is the scenic splendour of a natural vista.
My question: If you had to choose ONE type of natural landscape, what would be your favourite/ideal?
By way of example: Are you a forest and woods lover, a cliff top fancier or else would you opt more for the desolate, bleak beauty of natural moorland?
Off thou go’eth |

"I love dence Woodlands and forests just so relaxing listening to the birds chirp away.
"
I’m surrounded by acres and acres of rolling beechwoods here which I absolutely love.
Pinewoods are my personal favourite though - they carry a unique ambiance all of their own |

"I enjoy all sorts of landscapes but I love mountains and waterfalls.
So a combination of the two would be perfect. "
The Lake District and the Peak District - both are incredible for such natural splendour |

The most beautiful place I've ever been would be the Amalfi Coast closely followed by the Highlands. No doubt personal reasons colour that decision but for me the perfect scenery would be either the coast or the ruggedness of the forests there. |

I have to second someone and say lakes with backdrop of mountains, except these are in Wales, early morning the lake is so still it's like a mirror and the mountain beautifully reflected in the waters. I never tire of seeing it. |

"Nuclear wasteland "
Mad Max style?
Actually, on the subject, have you seen footage/pics of the towns and area surrounding Chernobyl?
Since vacated, nature has reclaimed them and the resulting combination of long deserted, crumbling buildings, now overgrown and covered with foliage carries a sort of eiree beauty all of it’s own. |

Ah the Scottish highlands - yes! Rolling hills, grand lakes and one can almost feel the proud history soaked into the soil |

Wales boasts absolutely stunning scenery I visited Snowdonia some years ago and was taken back at it’s scenic majesty - and the fact that unlike down here in Bucks, no one panicked and immediately abandoned their cars when it started to snow |

"I love baby elephants too."
They’re absolutely gorgeous creatures and the system of communal nurturing in their groups by the females is heartwarming to behold as they guide the infants around to where they want them by pushing them gently with their trunks |

"I love the colours of autumn leaves so a walk through the woods at this time of year is lovely"
Autumn is my favourite season for this exact reason; Beautiful shades of reds, orange and yellow flutter down around one and leave a richly coloured tapestry upon the ground.
Top tip though: Be extra careful when walking through the said leaves though as A) They can be slippy! and B) Some dog owners reason that with leaves on the ground, the need for picking up their dogs poop is negated..... |

"The beach and sea can’t beat listening to the waves and walking along the shore"
One thing I’ve never yet done but have always wanted to experience is a moonlit walk along the shore - with the moon reflecting over the ocean. |

"Palm trees, white beaches, turquoise waters, and sun "
Totally agree with this and although we sail most weeks on Windermere where the scenery is stunning and ever changing sitting in the sun on a sandy beach watching the glistening water and swimming with the fish is bliss |

If you are making me pick I would go for rugged coastline as I love the sea. Then lakes and mountains, but I like it all really, and skyscapes which I consider home. |
