Somewhere In The Ether…

A bit random perhaps, but which is your favourite supermarket and why?

Do you purchase all your shopping from there or do you opt for specific items from certain shops i.e - perhaps you like Waitrose overall but prefer the vegetable produce in Aldi?

I did say it was a bit random

I like tesco because it's the only supermarket that I pass on my commute to and from work.

I’ve found certain people on here can be very judgemental about people who shop in supermarkets they feel are beneath them. Must be nice to not have to count the pennies and be able to shop where you like.

Snobbery for the sake of it I guess

I (her) go to Home Bargains once a month for toiletries and cleaning products, then all food shopping is bought from Lidl.

Occasionally I may nip to M&S for a treat, 2 dine for £10 meals.

We dont have a Waitrose near us but when we do get to an area with one I just love to pop in and pick up a special treat.

I love M&S but it's always a big treat going in. My favourite out of those I use regularly would probably be Aldi as you save a fortune and the quality is great for the price. I love Morrisons too as the meat, fruit and veg etc taste amazing but it isn't a shop we often do as it's a little pricey.

Somewhere In The Ether…

My local is Asda - a mere ten or so minutes walk from me which is highly convenient.

....But even they no longer stock my beloved and much missed Cracker Barrel cheese nor OK Sauce

Closest to my flat is Sainsbury's and Waitrose. This time last year I lived in a different area where there were Aldi and Lidl nearby.

Are you gonna judge me?

The veg market in Birmingham's Bull Ring is ace. Cheap as chips too.

Loads of starlings hanging around too. It's like the playground shot from The Birds.

margate sumwear by the sea

I don't have one.

I work in catering so get to eat at work and often take home stuff for the freezer to.

Only really go to the supermarket for cleaning supplies.

And that supermarket depends on with is closest at the time. ( Or just still open )

M&S kitchen waste bags are the business, Naturally I'll pick up other items when I'm there. Asda is the only one I don't go to because there's none near.

I only shop at Waitrose and M&S. Honestly, I don't enjoy the shopping experience in the Tesco and Sainsburys near me, full of screaming kids and undesirables.

In principle it's the one that's nearest. Previously that was Waitrose and they are too expensive, so the next nearest was Sainsbury's.

Now my nearest is Morrison's but they don't have a good selection of tinned pulses and other stuff I buy regularly. My next nearest is Sainsbury's.

So I guess it's Sainsbury's, but I feel no emotional connection to them.

Luke

Sorry if that was boring.

Used to go Tesco but moved and Morrisons is now closer.

I mainly shop at Asda, but I also pick a few bits and pieces up as I go around town. I’d like to go to Aldi more but as I don’t have a car it’s awkward to drag everything from one shop to another x

All over the place! Northwesr, , Southwest

Lidl for the bakery and a number of products that are cheap but of great quality, such as the yougurts, edam cheese, coffee capsules and geberal purpose groceries such as rice, pasta and beans.

M&S or Waitrose for their fresh produce and meat. To be fair I don't notice massive differences in quality between the large chains. Really comes down to oreference and convenience, such as distance.

I really don't understand why some people are such snobs when it comes to were people shop!

I like Lidl, I like the price and the produce. I buy cleaning products and some toiletries in poundland.

Near Wells

I have 3 supermarkets within a less than 2 minutes walk from me.

Morrisons. Shelves always empty, can never get what you want. It's the newest supermarket so I think they are struggling for sales.

Lidle. The closest, again don't always have what you want, limited choice and the bloody queues at the checkout!!

So that leaves me with Tesco. Always seems to be well stocked, hardly ever have to queue so it's my go to place. It's the furthest away though.
