Yes, sometimes. I'm thinking it's something to do with hormones. |

"What's a while Lorna? Could it be SAD ? "
A few weeks on and off.
I'm not sure it can be as I'm always inside more than outside regardless of the weather. |

Unfortunately, that is a good sign of depression.
Sorry buddy. I am diagnosed severe depression and high anxiety. I'm actually seeing some one for it.
Please find someone to talk to about it. It's no joke. |

"Yep, sleep and a week off work normally does it for me"
That's another major issue. I have severe insomnia and haven't slept properly for months now. |

"Yes. It means I need a reet good seeing to."
Snap. I sometimes turn into a right moody bum but a good boning session sorts me right out.
I hope you find out what's causing you to feel this way Lorna. I find lack of sleep is a big factor in my mood. I have no patience some days after sleeping so little. |

Sounds like something that might help your mood if you can sort it out somehow |

There is one thing which made me like this.. pregnancy. I am sorry if its out of place suggestion. Just crossed my mind. Completely ignore it if it was foolish of me.
It sounds tough.. hope you get to the root. For me if it happens its just a part of something bigger, but I just need a time out. Otherwise I am not nice to be around.. and then regret it. |

Yes!! But then I am generally moody to be fair.
Could it be the come down after all the excitement of moving in with Ash? Like you’ve been so happy and excited for ages that your fizz has just wore off, temporarily? Like a good night out with mates but the next day you’re knackered?

That's very possible. Essentially as due to logistics it's going to happen as soon as we hoped. |

I'd say if you're struggling with sleep then that could be contributing to your mood. But I think it's fairly normal too when you're dealing with depression etc to go through stages where your mood gets even worse. I think that's just part of mental health troubles, well it is for me anyway.
I relate with the why do I feel sad thing. I have a fantastic partner and a beautiful daughter but my mental health has been absolutely horrendous the last few months. I don't think your mental health cares about these things though, it doesn't care about how happy they make you, it just does its own thing.
I'm rambling, sorry! I just want you to know you're not alone. It's good you're talking about it. X |

Bless you Lorna. You've had a lot going on lately and we are all vulnerable at times, even though we have lovely men in our lives. It's difficult to put our fingers on it sometimes and I'm glad you feel a little better today.xxx |

Hope youre feeling a bit better. I think absolutely everyone struggles at times and it helps knowing that every single person struggles because it means we are not broken (so to speak) or alone in our struggles.
Somthing that has massively improved my mental health and my general moods is changing the conversations i have with myself. We all do it right? Chat away to ourselves, have internal dialect? Change the conversations, instead of asking ourselves why am i....... insert negative remark you constantly talk to yourself about. Tell yourself how wonderful you are. You dont have to believe it but trust me you do this every time a negative thought pops in and watch how your mood improves.
Other thing i have started doing every evening before bed is a gratitude list. All the things i am grateful for in a day. Can be normal stuff like having food in the press, clean sheets, kids health, a job, a house, the love of a certain person or even just that your bus turned up on time that day. Putting it down on paper and looking back at them in those times when the head does start to feel down can be a massive help i find. Really makes you thankful for all the stuff we take for granted that others would kill for
Hope any of that helps and honestly wish anybody struggling the absolute best and always remember (its not just a slogan) it is ok not to be ok |

"Yep, especially lately. Although thankfully I know it’s because of lack of sleep.
I hope you find what’s causing it and things improve x"
If I'm honest I think it's a multitude of things and just a build up.
My work can course me distress due to the nature of my job, lack of sleep plus lots of other factors.
I'm sorry you have been been struggling soon. I'm sure you are doing a marvellous job looking after baby but make sure you are looking after yourself too. |

It's a chemical imbalance. Nothing more. With some time and help it can be overcome. |
