"Mashed potato"
Yes I need things with mash when I need comfort food.
Shepherds Pie
Good quality sausages, buttery mash and onion gravy.
Roast chicken, mash, veg and sage and onion gravy
Or I need wine - all of the wine |

"Chicken and mushroom Pot Noodle with Tomato ketchup added in spades and then placed in between two slices of buttered bread - gooey and gorgeous
A Pot Noodle butty?!"
Yes indeed - it’s butter-drippingly gorgeous! You have to taste it to fully appreciate the culinary genius
As Neil Buchanan on Art Attack used to say; ‘Try it yerself. Ta ra.’ |

"Anything in the slow cooker
Coming home, getting in from the cold to the aroma of dinner simmering away
That sounds good. I need a slow cooker and to be more organised in actually using it."
I agree I'm getting a slow cooker too.
In theory I'm going to make delicious stews and stuff |

A few years ago, i met a lovely woman on craigslist (before fab) in november on a cold wintry day in Belfast city centre and we went for lunch - top of the menu was "Winter Pie" which had us both giggling like schoolgirls - we even swapped so i could "eat her pie"! It was great - so was the night after
But the pie was stupendous - potato, ham, turkey, guinness, onion, tomato, chilli - washed down with guiness too - yum
Almost as good as her pie too! |
