Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I know the judges raved and nined Dev and Dianne but I didn't think it was a good routine.

Still loving Kelvin and Kamir. Think lovely Anneka may be on her way out tomorrow. Liking Saffron as well.

Didn't like the barefoot thing, she needed heels on. Also didn't like the Panda outfit. That's why I don't like movie week, the costumes detract from the dancing.

There and to the left a bit

Think it has to be Anneka and Mike in the dance off tomorrow - will be gutted for David if he's in it again as think he at least made an improvement on previous weeks and looked like he had listened to the judges.

Whilst Kelvin's dance was good - I'm not sure it merited 10's and wasn't hugely Charleston-y either - was more like, as Bruno said, the kind of routine you'd see in a West End show.

I'm not a huge fan of the rhumba but I actually enjoyed Catherine's one - was very simple yet sensual.

Creased up at Craig's faux pas over Anton's teeth too

Agree with you Gemini. As I said I don't like movie week. Kelvin would be an excellent West end dancer.David definitely improved this week. Really not keen on Mike's dancing. I think Catherine is a dark horse, loved her simple Rumba, lots of basic steps, beautifully performed

"Think it was Anneka's time to go "

Yeah she knew it, Kevin knew it - David and Mike next I think - then it really is fairly open - obviously Kelvin, Michelle and possibly Karim, Dev and Saffron are early contenders but there's not much to call between the rest.

The second fall you can see she did it on purpose, maybe as she felt silly at falling in the dance so tried to make a joke of it

I thought that too, had to rewind as I was sure that was a "comedy fall".

But then they need the extra votes to keep them in..... not suggesting she did it for sympathy or attention at all

This was my take on it too, comedy fall to lessen the blow of the real fall although on the night I wasn’t sure if Mike was supposed to carb her or wether she really did skip on the steamers on the floor

Mine too. It was beautifully executed. They deserve those scores.

The music choices, so far, are still movie week but without the terrible gimmicks.

Oh I dunno? Did he want to be a judge? Sounds like it could be that in that case, just coz he's not ripped and young like the others it doesn't mean he's a bad dancer, I've rooted for him for years and I think he could go pretty far this year, go Anton!!

Makes no sense, but that is the public vote. There were at least 3 or 4 that should have gone before him. How the judges kept Lady 'bath' in over him , I will never know, even the professionals were visibly shocked.

"Makes no sense, but that is the public vote. There were at least 3 or 4 that should have gone before him. How the judges kept Lady 'bath' in over him , I will never know, even the professionals were visibly shocked."

To be absolutely fair - the judges decision is based on the dance off alone, and based on that alone I agreed with them - Dev's dance wasn't as good as Emma's - should he have been there in the first place? Not at all, and the look on Alex's face when his name was called tells you all you need to know.

That said, I think this was possibly one of the hardest ones to call I have ever known, the obvious candidates (David and Mike) upped their game massively this week and I think it would have been unfair on either of them to be in the dance off - Kelvin, Karin, Eastenders Emma and a couple of others it wouldn't have been fair if they had been. Outside of that it really could have been anyone, and it probably does come down to how well known someone is when that happens.

Personally my least two favourite dances this week were Catherine and Saffron - neither of which did a great deal for me.

"Makes no sense, but that is the public vote. There were at least 3 or 4 that should have gone before him. How the judges kept Lady 'bath' in over him , I will never know, even the professionals were visibly shocked.

Personally my least two favourite dances this week were Catherine and Saffron - neither of which did a great deal for me."

I know Gemini, and I thought Dev was still the best dancer in the dance off. Emma's hands were like spatulas. Just thought Dev had the edge on her, but all down to personal opinion at this stage

Agree with Gemini, like Dev and was hoping he would get further but agree with the judges technically and performance wise Emma was better in the dance - off

Think others should have gone first but it is also based on popularity not just ability. Yes she is a Viscountess which sadly people will be prejudiced against her because of it, should really base decisions on ability.

Aston shouldn't have gone out last year.

So who would you have had in the dance off given the choice? Really tough call this week.

As I said earlier for me it would probably be Catherine and Saffron based on their dances

Morning Gemini. I would have David again albeit he has improved a lot and I like him and possibly the comedian. It is a dance competition and should be judged on their performance on the night, but with the public voting it is more about the personalities than their dancing skills

Oh of course it should be on performance on the night - personally I don't think David's was one of the two worst on the night though, although Chris was certainly down there.

There are so many different elements to dance, musicality, timing, rhythm , armography, fluidity and it is difficult to judge different dances, now we can't have them all doing the same dance, that would be boring, but would be easier to judge

Oh absolutely and it's very easy to sit at home and judge purely on the "spectacle" before us without appreciating the finer technical aspects - which is what I love about Craig, he'll pick up on those things we don't notice even if he is praising the dance as a whole - something I think some of the other judges miss out on doing

I love Craig's comments, having been a dancer myself, I am always looking for the finer details, armography, spatula hands, using the core, heel and toe leads etc, people need to learn these basic elements before they can start to learn the steps, the steps are in fact the easier part. If the body is correct and fluid, the feet naturally follow

Yes! It's like Emma, she had a lovely bounce but no upper body strength and not sure what she was doing with her hands. These are easy things to correct. My husband often says, oh that looked good, about someone, but they may be doing heel leads throughout a Latin dance.

Maybe, but lots of tweets flying around and voters talking about not voting anymore. I think in all these types of competition, they are open to fixing. I know it's just a show, but these contestants work very hard and to go out way before your time, must be heartbreaking. You could see all the other pros were shocked at the result.

Not sure Mike's was any better either - the only justification for him staying was that at least he had a routine of more than a handful of steps even if they were poorly executed.

Think barring a great performance he will be next to go - then you have the middle order of Alex, Emma Longleat, and Chris - front runners currently are Kelvin and Karim - possible contenders being Saffron, Emma Eastenders and Will

Jive is the worst dance for a tall guy. 6' 5". Kicks and flicks have to be really sharp and clean, it is not easy to do with such long legs. Every mistake is highlighted and exaggerated, even if he was good at it, would still be difficult to make it clean .
