i am presently travelling to and from my present workplace and getting a lift each way by a really nice interesting guy unfortunately he drives like a man possessed i may not live to collect my wages, what would you do?  |

Show him gruesome videos or photographs of the most horrific car crashes and dead bodies you can find.
Then suggest track days to fill the need for speed out of his system (it's what I do) |

Ah ha! I have the answer:Tell the driver that you’ve heard from a reliable source that MI5 are running secret operations in the area of your journey and that they’ve installed secret speed cameras all along the route.
Also embellish it a tad by telling the driver that anyone caught driving recklessly and/or speeding will be abducted by the services and strip searched and interrogated in a most demeaning manner  |

So guessing you don't have a mean's of transport to share.
Me, I would just say "Mate, not being funny but could you slow down, rather turn up than not at all"
If he takes the piss, so be it, but you have asked.
I do think if he is the only option, keep having a light nag at him for his driving.
You know the person your working with, is he a stress head? Worried over something? Or just a dickhead?
I don't mind going quickly when I am on my own, but never with someone in the car as well.
