We used to call them scraggs....

And when I was a young un, I used to go in the chippy and they'd give me a bag of scraggs for free!!!

My local chippy is so filthy that they probably serve shit on them.

Curiously though, despite the frequently found stray hairs, deceased flies and somewhat disquieting bogey like apparitions in/on them, they taste really lovely though
