I went to work this morning tired. By lunch time I was sneezing, by hometime I was on the Beecham's . Now I'm in bed on night nurse and feeling very sorry for myself. I never used to get colds like this. Is it a thing that happens to everyone once they hit their 30s?
Can someone please come and rub my back and play with my hair?

If I had the power of flight I absolutely would. I'd be rubbing vicks on your feet too (never tried it myself but heard it works a treat)

I feel your pain
Ive got fresher flu  .... back to work in a college and students sharing their bugs
I swear by vaseline on your nose every time you blow it to stop the sore/dryness

Get some vicks out and rub it on your chest as well.
It will help you to keep your nose from being bunged up allowing you to breath more easily.
Try to get some on the rear ribcage as this also warms your lungs up.
Oh and your getting a kiss on your cheek instead of your lips no way do I want to catch it  |

Oh god yes. Last year I worked at a university. Worst cold ever and lasted weeks!

If I thought you were serious about running my fingers through your hair and rubbing your back I'd be on the Sleeper up to Edinburgh in 10 minutes. |

"Just dont get that vicks near your lady bits.
I normally put a dab under my nose as well same with the kids.
But its not recommended but it really does keep that nose from blocking up."

Tea is about the only thing I can swallow currently. Its definately women flu though because I am still up and about doing all the usual necessities whilst slowly dying. Tough breed us women.  |

There warming due to the vicks the warming effect helps to loosen the mucus in your lungs.
Helps to shift mucus from your lungs when you cough.
Other thing is keep your chest warm even if you have to go out and get that vicks on earlier when you get in after your shower. |
