My favourite word for this day at least, is Defenestration which means to throw someone or else something, through a window.
How thoughtful that someone actually took the time to invent a word specifically for this act |

It also means a room without windows. Like most swingers clubs. |

One of my favourite words is twat. Not for its reference to a body part or as an insult it is just such a simple but satisfying word to say. Especially if you draw out the pronunciation a bit. |

Because, the word evolved from Latin, in the 17th Century.
De- relates to be "out of....." ie, to throw something out of a window.
Fenestra- relates to "window".
Put the two parts together and it has evolved over time into what it is today. |

"Always really liked the word jeroboam. No real reason, other than the fact that it sounds like a made up word. "
Champagne bottle sizes are named after Kings of Israel:-
Jeroboam
Rehoboam
Methusaleh
Salamander
Balthazar
Nebuchadnezzar
Solomon
Melchezedek
