Brie Cheese - Do you eat the ‘crust’?
Also, Savaloys - Do you eat the wrapper like skin on them?
Obviously, being extraordinary cultured as I am, I know the correct answers, so am just um....asking for an uncouth friend..... |

Yes to brie
I don't eat savaloys.
I may well be uncouth but I don't care! |

Saveloy yes although I don’t eat these, Brie no, only eat the soft cheese part, usually with a nice Pinot noir. |

Didn't know there was an EU legislation on how one should eat either. Lol.
Saying that think you'll find the rind as some may call it is part of the cheese unlike others like Edam. On Brie it's Penecillium which is a natural part of the aging process. Camembert I believe is the same too.
I eat both |

Recently a decidedly coarse acquaintance of mine told me that they didn’t eat the rind on Brie but did eat the skin on Savaloys(!!!)
I don’t mind telling you that I veritably almost spat out the fine 1787 Chateau Margaux I was drinking at the time. |
