Anyone else get gold they look unapproachable? It couldn’t be further from the truth when you know me.. yet I’m told I look serious and menacing... who else has misconceptions made about them? |

People think im nice, people say im georgeous, wrong on both counts, i am the most bitchy person i know and im very average looking. Just words to get in to my pants i know but that just turns me right off. |

When I meet people and start chatting they always say I'm not as scary as I look I'm really nice... people think I'm intimidating which I'm really not..never judge a book hehe |

I’ve been told I come across as unapproachable but I’m just cautious and it takes a while for me to click with people if it’s going to be a regular thing (in any sense).
It also doesn’t help that I have a reputation for playing hard ?? |

People interpret what they see and make assumptions. We find that we're often perceived in a way that doesn't fit with our perception of ourselves but we have no influence over how other people see us so just continue as we are  |

Can’t really tell from your public pics bro, but people are weird and rude haha. If they think you’re ‘menacing’ after looking at you and not meeting you, their problem. They can stay away, who wants to befriend people like that |

I get it all the time as it happens, always have done. The usual problem I have is that I scowl when i dont wear my glasses or contacts. So people assume I'm giving them dirty looks or have a problem with them lol. |

Yes, I've always been perceived as serious and aloof is the word most often used. I am picky about who I associate with but I am chilled with the few that know me. |

Oh i dont know.. i show the side of me i want to show usually so opinions are just based on that. If i dont want someone to like me i wont care about adjusting my attitude. For someone you will be just right. |

Because some men look at women as someone who owes them some kind of a service. It is subconscious, but it is there. The same mentality that makes them join this site and expect to "get" something, and getting upset when they do not. |

Good point. Why is looking unapproachable bad?
Because some men look at women as someone who owes them some kind of a service. It is subconscious, but it is there. The same mentality that makes them join this site and expect to "get" something, and getting upset when they do not."
I think you're probably right in some respects but that doesn't account for men being told they're unapproachable |

I was just talking about this to somebody this morning... I get it all the time,but when they take the time to speak to me find I'm a very nice person... say I look intimidating and miserable...
But most say it's my eyes,the way I look at people they are my strongest but also weakest thing about me.. |

Generally I think I am pretty approachable, but I do have a 'leave me alone' face people that know me well can see it as can strangers.
Its great on a train when the local village idiot or d*unk decides that they need to talk to someone on the 4 hour trip; the face rarely means it is me ! |

I’m very tall and *cough* well built so can understand folk keeping their distance. I was told by someone that i look stand offish and aloof.
In reality i’m just painfully shy and i’m not very sociable.
That said, old people and d*unk men seem to gravitate towards me like bees to flowers.  |

H seems to gather and attract weirdos, we were selling at a car boot and and guy started talking with her, within minutes getting to life story, hanging around to the point people thought he was with us and tried paying him for things. If there is a mental anywhere in a place, within minutes they are near H.
I’m told give off an unapproachable vibe, with friends telling me they thought I didn’t like them for weeks when we first met.

I seem to attract allsorts when out, but the northerner in me will have me talking to anyone.
My meets have experienced this whether I take to long at the bar as I’m chatting and have to come and get me or they go to the bar and I’m chatting to others when they return  |
