I've just been inspired to watch lots of James May programs...Blasting action man into the sky, reassembling blenders, drinking beer with Oz Clarke, rambling about techie stuff, and driving cars. What's not to like? Wish he'd been a teacher at my school!

Did you know Oz Clark was an actor before he made his name as a wine specialist? He was in the first Superman movie and in Who Dares Wins. Strange but true.

It's a different dynamic. Not against it per se but the old guard. In my opinion were the better. If it ain't broke don't fix it is my phylosify

Hes brilliant, funny, cleaver & a awesome dry sense of humour. Im a real petrol head but I watch loads of his shows whether they're cars, buildings or anything. He can talk about bricks and it'd be interesting.

Somewhere In The Ether…

His highly distinctive style and soloing skills on the guitar (which he actually built himself) are truly legendary.

Oh......James May?

Watch the first Top Gear series with Clarkson May and Hamming.

It was mostly shit.

Took them time to find the chemistry that made it good.

The new boys need the same time.

People saying the new presenters are shit are comparing them with C M & H after umpteen series, it's not eggs for eggs.

It was broke though.. the reason its dipping in popularity is because it's still broken. Ridiculously false and acted out challenges, to show supercars at their most decadent.

It was good to begin with.. but how many times can you make a show about cars and still keep it interesting? Lucky it's lasted as long as it has.

James May? Bit dull, but I prefer him to Jezza and he seems to have a wider range of interests, less arrogant in his presenting style.

Apparently Hammond is often spotted round these parts and I've heard from more than one person that he's a bit cunty in real life. Which to be fair, I probably would be if I were famous and just nipped out for fish n chips.. only to be harassed by phone wielding fans.

He'd be a good successor to Adam Hart-Davis. He could do What Have The Chinese/Indians/Americans/Germans/French/Italians, etc Done For Us?

I don't rate him or any of the old topgear cast.

Topgear was really biased, they would all say things opposite to their newspaper articles about cars, they would sell their real opnion out to further jokes in the show, etc.

Out of that they got other shows, milked the bbc, then just left because their friend assaulted someone and they are too fucking spineless to stand up to him.

They disgust me.

The best thing about May is that out of Clarkson, Hammond and himself he is marginally the least cuntish. Being preferred to Jeremy Clarkson is no great character reference IMO.
