Once and never again. Big regrets. I have no idea what I was thinking. Really affected my self esteem and mental health afterwards when the contact was broken, veri not posted and i was not told the truth for months that it was a one off for him. Oh well we live and learn. Always play safe now. |

Everyone will answer NO and be disgruntled by your question....I'd say 6 out of 10 men I've met ask to have unprotected sex....so someone's saying "yes" out there surely. The reply they get from me is never just a no! It's mostly followed with the riot act.

As another poster said, at least 6/10 men would play bare if they could and from our experience it would be even higher ( with oral sex ), and couples and single women would be equally as high.
And we never used condoms or dams for oral, but did use condoms for fucking.
Since we had over 1200 meets that would mean we should have had at least 200 deadly sti's.

I did with LJ the first time. But he'd gone 3 months without sex and i was over 6 months so We both got tested though and made sure we had clear results before we got down to the nitty gritty

This hasn't received much if any coverage in the UK, so I'm doubting its relevance or validity here, where new infection rates are also falling. People who are HIV+ with treatment have suppressed viral loads, giving an infection potential that's equivalent to anybody else who is negative.
People living with HIV that's treated also have an equivalent life expectancy to whether they didn't have that infection.
Most swingers are very responsible and test at frequency rates above that of the general population. Not getting early treatment for anything is silly, as some diseases may have long lasting consequences, including connections with fertility. Most of us are informed and test for STIs, sometimes every month. Take responsibility for your own health and education and you indirectly help others too. |

I am a anti barebacker but I put my hands up I have gone bareback in the past on a first meet BUT it was with someone who I knew wasn't going to be a one off, we were spending a full weekend together. I knew his sexual history and we were both tested prior to the meet.
Otherwise it's always a absolute no. I go bare with my fwb because we have been seeing each other for so long. I haven't had sex with anyone but him for over 6 months. He does meet others occasionally but plays safe. I however still get tested every 6-12 weeks - I trust him 100% but stis can be contracted orally so it's about keeping myself as safe as possible while still enjoying something that bit more special with him. |

Agreed. Regular testing is important and people diagnosed with HIV almost have the same life expectancy if treated early. However, because of this, it can encourage some people think bareback is ‘safe’ now, since there is good treatment available. |
