I sometimes like to watch those programs for fun and I saw one yesterday, there are some complex circles out there, whats your view about it? It could also be done by magnetic fields  |

Seen some in the USA. The circles were perfect, the corn burnt, no footprints or tractor tracks. Freaky stuff, had the Twilight Zone music playing in my head... |

I’ve spent many hours studying this very topic op.
My professional opinion: after binge watching the history channel and, multiple episodes of x-files for half a day as - Aliens. |

I would say done by humans but some people are better at it than others
The good ones must take loads of planning and people to do.
You can walk through crops with out to much disturbance

the guys who did the first one owned up to it. all the others are copycats. people. end of debate. go look it up.
if aliens land, it would be to kill, conquer or make friends. None of those would involve landing unannounced.. then taking off again in secret |

For me 90% of them are guys who think there funny.
10% of the rest are out of this world.
Why would they land and fuck off again? Wouldnt you have you seen the fucking place. We carnt even feed the hungry people that are already here. And we kill the ones that dont agree with our narrow minds how long would you stick around for after getting of the ship lol. Me about 3 mins for a piss and offscies |

When i was posted at Tidworth years ago myself and another squaddie did a few crop circles. A 10lb weight, some rope and a plank of wood. We did mickey mouse one night.

I don’t think aliens do them. I’m not sure who does them but I don’t think aliens would travel such long distance just to squash some corn in s randomn field. |

if they could get a spacecraft here without us noticing it.. I'm pretty sure they'd have the ability to see how hostile the dominant lifeforms to minorities of any sort.
They'd be "offsies" before they "arrivedsies" |

I don't really know is the honest answer and neither do the rest of the posters.
I would imagine like most things the vast majority would be of human construction with a small handful of harder to explain, indeed they may just remain unexplained and mysterious. |

I think they're almost certainly all done by people, often for fun and to sustain a sense of power over others. The very complex ones seem highly indiative of an elaborate plan to create something that's perceived as so complicated, it must be caused by an alien race: inevitably, they're never illustrative of something that's not c. the present time and space.
Some people have admitted being hoaxers, often of many of them.
Overall, I perceive it as highly unlikely that sophisticated life forms would visit earth from huge distances away and just set their crafts down, onto some corn field. How come they don't do it on young Cabbages or dare I say it, Squash plants. |

As others have said, I really can't imagine aliens flying across the vastness of space, with technology we couldn't even begin to fathom, just to make pretty patterns in corn. Just what message are they trying to convey with that exactly?! "Hey Earthlings check out our amazing Spirograph skills."
If we ever get the technology to fly across galaxies and land on some distant world that we believe to be inhabited with life, I'm going to be a bit annoyed if NASA tells us that the method they're going to use to communicate with these beings is to draw a big dick and balls in an alien farmers cornfield.
I would say the answer to the whole mystery is the same as the contents of my 'Looked @ Me' box...It's just a bunch of blokes with wood. |

Done by man.
Though a very select minority of circles show signs of more advanced equipment being used/tested than planks of wood, or can't be explained by planks of wood or similar.
I don't think aliens should be the first conclusion to be jumped to as soon as something looks unusual though. |

It's been confirmed for many years that crop circles were made with a plank of wood and some string. |

Some of them are terribly precise though. I like to think its a bit of magic. Men (or women) with planks of wood doesn't appeal to me I'm afraid.
It could be like when you see steam on a window and can't resist drawing a face in it or sand or fresh snow. Cornfields might be like that to the aliens as they're just passing by and can't resist a quick doodle in a cornfield. |

They are extraordinary to walk around. Whilst some may be obviously man-made, others have a strange energy about them. The corn is undamaged and woven together. The patterns have a mathematical accuracy and they are created in 3 or 4 hrs of darkness. I am heading down to the area tomorrow. |

People are so desperate to believe in something.
Crop circles are man made. They are not so complex that people can't make them.
And assuming aliens do make them, why? The premise of aliens making them makes no sense. |
