Curtesy of the wonderful Mr Devil who posted this in the Scottish forum. Why should they have all the fun?
Here it is in its original form. Let the debating begin
Are you a conspiracy theorist and if so whats your biggest conspiracy theory and why? |

Not sure I'm a real conspiracy theorist... However...
1. I'm not 100% sure we actually went to the moon...
2. The "evidence" for 9/11 seems a little too convenient
I'm not wanting to debate this with anyone before they get their knickers in a twist |

So here's a question?
Why do seemingly sane people believe bizarre conspiracy theories?
The fear that evil forces conspire to hurt good people is deeply rooted in the human psyche.
Most people assume they are good, their perception based upon surrounding standards, only what they know and understand. The problem here is there are many other standards by which others base their perceptions on too. So we create conspiracy theories to justify our thoughts.
Accepting one conspiracy theory as true makes it much easier to believe in other theories. So the slippery slope begins.
Studies from the mid-1990s found that the single best predictor of conspiracy thinking is the belief in a different conspiracy theory. |

Also, I believe that the educational system is working towards lowering the average IQ instead of building upon it. Is it a conspiracy or is it factual?
Oh, and in terms of the Bible. I believe that the devil/serpent is more likely to be on man's side than God and his ilk. The serpent is after all, essentially Prometheus, is he not?

Those struggling to complete with Alpha should understand that Omega is The Alpha, has no need to display or demonstrate for he is the Midas. |

But the reality the forum is a matriarchal dynamic where men are allowed to think they are in charge but they are only used for one thing ... when the matriarchs have the desire |

Once upon a time not long ago, a group of crazy geneticists were drinking together and decided that it would be hilarious if the world was run and ultimately destroyed by blond haired, gaffable baboons with a single brain cell. The result of that one night of craziness is now coming into fruition. Cue Trump, Johnson and who’s next |

I love a good conspiracy theory but most are more smoke the fire
My personal favourite is the JFK assassination and did Oswald do it?
More than likely but it looks like a conspiracy because Oswald was a low level agent, preventing a nuclear war with the Soviets also Kennedy’s involvement with the CIA and the Mob to kill Castro took precident to a thorough investigation into the assassination.
It would of been a can of worms if they investigated everything.

You are welcome and if you only read one book I would recommend, “Not in your lifetime” by Anthony Summers
It’s the best book I have ever read on the subject and doesn’t try to prove or disprove a conspiracy.
He just lays out the facts in an interesting and easy to absorb way.

Generally not, except for those that governments specifically undertake due to the low likelihood of the public taking them seriously. There are likely many false ones created as the sheer volume and stupidity of many of them help to discredit the genre overall.
In general, follow Occams razor - the simplest, most likely answer is probably the correct one |

Look at it this way. In 1969 the USSR were way ahead of USA in the space race. First man in space etc. Fast forward to 2019 and Russia state they still can't put a man on the moon and bring him home alive. Makes you think |

I know a German teacher who denies the Holocaust. Firmly believes it never happened. Interesting chatting with her and how she was taught in school that it was fictitious story made up as propaganda by Western allies. Even went to Krakov and sees it as an elaborate staged sight now just used for tourism to propagate lies. |

Are you a conspiracy theorist and if so whats your biggest conspiracy theory and why?" I believe that a man never actually set foot on the moon in the 1960s it was the USAs competitive drive that made them lie they had, buzz aldron buzz off |
