So I'm in the pub last night and my mate Jeff turn to me and said "dash, why do women wear bra's?" so after staring at him for approximately 4 minutes and 17 seconds I said,i don't know Jeff!!
So why do women wear bra's?

"Support and to reduce droop!"
This plus my nipples get desensitised after rubbing on my tops all the time. I only started wearing a bra in my thirties because of this and also my boobs seemed to grow quite a bit around then |

"So that we can shoplift
The only thing I put down my bra is (wrapped in plastic then fabric) my mp3 player when I work out "
I don't really shoplift but if I did it wouldn't be frozen or chilled. |

Most of the things said above I agree with.
I do like wearing them at times but its also great to slip out of it after a long day.
In my younger years didn't bother as much, I'd not not get away with it now.
That said I'm not wearing one at the moment!

As my dear friend who works down the pub once told me;
"I have a sheepdog Bra", looking at my confused face she said "it rounds them up and points them in the right direction" - Devon ladies and gentlemen, Devon.... |

Do other women have this? Certainly noticed my nipples are less sensitive now i spend less time in a bra... |

Why are only directing this question at women when 7% of fab men also wear bras? |

Breasts are quite sensitive as muscles and they can be quite heavy as well so, if they don’t have the appropriate protection during an activity, such as running, the abrupt bouncing can cause injuries, which could potentially but not necessarily develop into something malignant. |

to keep them in shape
it helps to shape them in the clothes we wear
nursing bras to feed babies
same as men wearing underwear to keep them safe! |

I don’t know if it’s because I’m a perv but the past week when it’s been hot I’ve noticed that a lot of women haven’t been wearing none.
Makes it worse to concentrate on work but keep it up |

"Bra's are a great place to put things, like boobs and credit cards.
And phone, keys and money bag when out. Or is that just me? X "
Phone in bra is not best. It increases risk of breast cancer I heard |

I growing up thought it was to hide the nipples from poking through which I believe is the case for those seeking a modest protection.
Back ache is 1 reason I believe for some.
Stop sagging is another though there's no evidence for this so another myth.
I believe the main reason is to hold them implace as having 2 globes of fat bouncing around won't be comfortable. I also believe the other more clear reason is to make them more flattering for outfits and clothing to sit upon better.
If anyone disagrees then whip your bra off and let's discuss it in earnest lol |

You're not alone. Money, ID, keys are difficult but it can be done. |

To keep my important things in. Boobs. Money, phone, keys. Business cards. Condoms, lube. Mouthwash. Clean knickers. Spare bra. Emergency ration chocolate. Packet of sandwiches. Hip flask. Umbrella. |

I'm convinced that at least 75% of the reason is the relief that comes with taking it off when you get home at the end of the day.
That's what I've been led to believe, anyway. |

"To stop them from hitting my knees when I walk x"
That's what I thought, but apparently if you don't wear one and do some excercise then the muscles get stronger and support your boobs. Witness anyone who does Yoga or is a dancer.
