Oh Ace this is far too difficult a question.

Shine on you crazy diamond is one of my remind myself I'm awesome tunes if I'm a little blue.

Wish you were here holds some fantastic memories for me

Comfortably numb was my cousins funeral song as the curtains were coming round

In the flesh? is what I want my last but one song to be for my "celebration" party when I die.

I can say that my least favourite is "another brick in the wall"

Us and Them. It's just great. Like all the best protest songs, it's changed nothing. Sadly.

The right place

All the ones that have been mentioned are great.

I do quite like some of the early Syd Barrett stuff too like See Emily play.

Just to add that Guy Pratt, who was in my year at school, replaced Roger Waters initially, but another one that I like is What Do You Want From Me off the The Division Bell album.

They only ever had one number one song, strange for an amazing group like this.

My song chose would be "take it back"

Crazy diamond and comfortably numb are stunning but I'm going to go a little left field and pick a newer one. Great lyrics, solo, great memories when the album was released and the first time I saw them live on momentary lapse of reason.

Hard choice, but from purely a nostalgia point of view, Money. In our early teens, mates and me played our tennis rackets to that endlessly.

Next time you see me on my knees crying in the rain, my white shirt ripped open, my bare chest facing the elements, dispair in my eyes, and my fists soo taught that I've drawn blood from my hands. I'll be singing "Vera".

However, if you'd like an example of life imitating art, have a listen or read the lyrics to "Waiting for the worms".
