"Sign language "
Oh that’s a good one. I’m hopeless with sign language, I even tried makaton but I just can’t pick it up. Wish I learnt it when I was little |

"First aid
should be a thing learned in school instead of R.E"
Both should be taught
I remember in primary six we had someone come out and teach us very basic CPR |

"First aid should be a thing learned in school instead of R.E" . Why not alongside RE?
Religious education is very important to some, I’m not saying more important than first aid but important all the same.

Debate opposing opinions with respect.
I think we're losing this? I see more and more people believing that they have to convince others they're right and can't debate without going on the offensive.
Raise your argument not your voice. |

I often wonder what they actually teach in life skill classes at secondary school ... shouldn't it be proper first aid, CPR, sign language and the such? Suppose my kids are lucky because we did all of those things |

We didn’t/don’t have ‘life skills’ classes near me. However, there’s now ‘maths’ and ‘life skill maths’ which is more do with taxes, paying bills etc. Wasn’t around when I was at school but both my brother and sister have taken it! |

"First aid should be a thing learned in school instead of R.E"
HERESY!!!!
How to eat properly.
The amount of folk I saw last night talking whilst eating was orrible, even bits of food falling outta their gobs whilst talking. One chap in between talking and eating even took a swig of beer whilst the food was still in his mouth, you could clearly see the chewed pie and peas when he opened his gob. |

I must admit that some women are brilliant at football, I've even been to Pride Park to watch England Ladies play, pre Neville, but they played some awesome stuff and could have easily beaten most Scottish men's sides |

Wear gloves
Gotta do that in childcare settings! Gonna be weird when I have my own baby and I don’t wear an apron and gloves |

Negotiating airports, particularly getting through customs.
Oh, good manners too. The phrase "You're welcome" seems to have been obliterated in the UK, you hear all the time abroad. |

I would say, that you hear alot about people who froze when confronted with things unexpected. Although they physically cannot help but maybe training in the basics of holding it together in being able to call for a emergency service quickly to enable faster care. |

During a siege in medieval times the attacking forces would often hurl dead animals and their own fallen over the walls to spread disease. I think they'd have had better results with dirty nappies. |

Especially so if they'd used my sons nappies, when he was going through weaning from milk to solids the (bottom) end result could have been used to wipe out half the population of the WORLD.
Could have been used in Koreas' nuclear war testing that stuff!!!! |

Haha, it's fine. Honestly.
They are perfectly contained for the first 8-10 months till they start crawling around and emptying cupboards, and stripping shelves, and pulling things out of drawers.
Then the walking starts and you get chocolate fingerprints on the tele, the doors, the walls, the windows.
Then they start climbing stairs and realise they have 2 fully functional hands and said chemical warefare filled nappy starts being removed and they pee on the floor.

"CPR, using a defib, basic first aid, managing money, taxes, basic cooking and housework." I see raise of fund managers and tax consultants, but on the serious note these 2 are specialised and niche domains need years of experience.
