Myself and Diamond (of the smiles variety) have decided there is too much chat about fat, so what about having a change today and discussing the pros and cons of people who wear specs ? |

I wear mine to balance the eyes out, so that I do not strain one or the other, as I am short-sighted in one, and long-sighted in the other, both with different levels of astigmatism.
When I go out in the evenings to parties/dance classes/etc. I do not wear them except for the driving, and can see quite well without them.
I like to wear them as they form a barrier between me and the other person, imaginary or otherwise. |

"like the sexy secretary look??
count me in on that one
personally, i was thinking more of the cosmo smallpiece look "
yeah, that sounds good too (quick google search to check what that looks like!)
i think i'm still stuck in the glasses/secretary/early 90's porn 'frame' of mind |

i love glasses but then i don't need them all the time just for reading to prevent eye strain as i'm long sighted, maybe if i had to wear them constantly i'd feel differently
i really want some new ones mine are donkeys old but pennies dictate too much at the mo so won't be for a little while till i can get some more
i think they can look great my friend normally wears contacts but has a problem with her eye currently so glasses have been dragged out and i just have to keep telling her how fab she looks in them but she just hates them bless her |

I wear mine for driving mainly now or if my eyes hurt.
My friend at school had an op on her ear when she was younger, when the stitches healed up and she could wear her glasses again they had put her ear back a bit lower than before so her glasses were always wonky |

See my name has been dragged into this so i best post lol.
Im long and short sighted, have to be changing them constantly at home i walk round with a pair on my head always.
Im an absolute nightmare without them(ask _adchick) if i go out i tend to wear just my distance ones, but chams is a nightmare cause its half dark and i have to keep looking down at all the little steps and cant see them. The worst believe it or not is when im eating. I always eat without my glasses on because the distance to the table is just like a blind spot, wrong for my distance and close up ones. If im out and have to read something i can read better with no glasses than distance.
Ive always tried to choose my glasses to suit my face. First pair i had where black secretary ones and seriously i got sick of them messages from guys wanting to spunk over them, ive never had such messages since i havent worn those. Everyday ones are charcoal black rims with black and white circles at the sides and close up ones are purple and puce (aubergine and teal lol) |

I don't wear glasses which is amazing when you think about all the wanking I do
I am partial to wearing good shades though
Strange when you think about it, it's cool to wear shades for vanity, yet it's classed nerdy by some to wear glasses that are there to be worn for your health |

Del had laser eye treatment about 8yrs ago, he wanted rid of his glasses for wearing his lid..
My daughter loves her glasses and only uses her contacts for nights out..
Some people really suit them...Others need to go to specsavers |

I've been wearing glasses for about 5 years now and I am also short sighted in one eye and long sighted in the other. My eyesight isn't so bad that I cannot see and I like to keep them off in the evenings. I don't tend to wear them at swinging clubs.
I used to wear contacts and had a penchant for different colours, I liked being able to choose what colour my eyes would be on a particular day. I also wore dramatic contacts for nights out/rock concerts etc, I liked looking like Marilyn Manson.
Unfortunately just over a year ago I developed a corneal ulcer which was very nasty and required intense hospital treatment and therefore I am unable to wear contacts again.
I now have loads of different coloured specs as I get bored of the same old all the time. |

Ok. As a wearer of spectacles, amongst other things the PROS are; they usually have the savvy to wear contact lenses as well;
The CONS are; the dreaded prescription sun-glasses.. how about it ladies?
'SPECS-Y' = SEXY ooooh I say!!

I love my specs and like them on other people too (not mine, their own)
I had a pair of those big black plastic ones you get in the cinema for 3D films.. I liked them so much I took the lenses out and wore them to work for weeks till I could afford real ones

Last year a friend of mine was invited to join in a 'scene' with a couple, they were role playing teacher/naughty schoolgirl and asked him to be the headmaster. We went to the club that night and he wore a nice suit with pens in his pocket, took his cane... and at the last minute I gave him a pair of those 3D glasses to put in his top pocket too.
The scene was going really well and quite an audience had snuck into the room for a perv... part way through the scene my mate put on the big glasses and that was it, everyone including the couple just got massive fits of giggles, which he played up to with the geeky voice and joking around .... I felt quite guilty after, as the scene just got ruined cos noone could take it seriously after that. It was funny though and they did re-schedule for another time |

I wear them for driving... I've had the same pair for donkey's years but decided to buy a new pair which have just arrived today, funnily enough.
Bought them via a company that came to where I work and so saved a few quid compared to the High Street shops, although the after sales service is pretty crap so it's the last time I'll buy them this way. |

I have seriously toyed with the idea, almost got some last time but ive heard they take awhile to get used to. Maybe i could get them as an extra pair to see how i get on with them, |

Sounds great, laughing like that can be just as orgasmic as sex and possibly even better. |

I'm blind as a bat without my glasses but I also wear contacts if I go out. Glasses round the house and shops usually but anything else usually gets contact treatment. |

I have to wear glasses as I cannot see long distance, got called four eyes when I was younger but then the glasses we had to wear were awful. Today there are nice fashionable ones but going with fashion doesn't always make attractive as I've learnt to my cost at the pub where I work having been named called when I started there, incredibly upsetting but then people don't really care do they |

Ooops I forgot to say that on the other hand I was told by my optician that I will be one of the lucky ones who won't need reading glasses when I am old, so to those of you out there who think its fun, wait till you get old, I shall hunt you down and laugh at you |
